Let’s get
acquainted

Hello, my dear amigurumi lovers!

My name is Olga and I love toys
designing! I would call this
document a little adventure, not
only the pattern.

Pay attention, that this work is my intellectual property and

any sharing this pattern, copying or posting in Internet and
also reselling it are prohibited. It is for Your personal use only!

I worked very hard to write this pattern and hope You

respect my work. The toys made according to my patterns can
be used for any purposes! Thank You for understanding!

All the yarn listed can be
Tools and substituted with any other yarn
with similar weight (number 3 in the
materials Standard Yarn Weight System)

1. Yarn:
Alize Cotton Gold (100g/330m), graphite color (number 182) - less
than half of a skein;
YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m), white color (number 01) - less than half
of a skein;
YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m), light blue color (number 81) - less than a
half of a skein;
YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m), grey color (number 49) - just a little;
YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m), blue color (number 16) - just a little;
YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m), yellow color (number 88) - just a little;
Gazzal Baby cotton (50g/165m), red color (number 3439) - just a
little;
For taxi: YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m), yellow color (number 35) - a half of
a skein.

2. Fiberfill.
3. 2mm crochet hook (US 4) - I used Clover.
4. Scissors.
5. Needle.
6. Stitch marker, pins.
Pay attention! In this pattern we use
Abbreviations US terminology.

MR - magic ring inc - increase

R - round dec - decrease
st, sts - stitch, stitches sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet

Notes Please, read the following carefully.

Pieces are crocheted in continuous non-joining rounds (unless

otherwise stated).

The finished car will have an approximate size of 11cm in length and
5.5cm high (4.3*2 inches) if you use the materials listed. My stitches
have an semi-X-shape (I do yarn under, then yarn over when working
sc stitch). If you do yarn over/yarn over, then your toy would be bigger
size.
Also pay attention if you used a different material to crochet the
toy, the size would be different than mine.

The pattern doesn’t include any crochet lessons. You should know
how to crochet basic stitches.

Hope you enjoy making your little car! I will be glad to see it finished!

Work in graphite color, then change to
white. Some parts of the car are
Main piece crocheted in turning rows and some
parts are crocheted in rounds.

Make ch19. Use graphite color. Work in

turning rows. Start working from the
2nd ch from the hook:
R1-7. 18sc, ch, turn (18) - 7 rows
After the round 7 is finished don’t turn
the work
R8. Crochet around three sides of the
piece: 7sc across the edge of turning
rows, 18sc across the long side, 7sc Rounds 1-7
across the edges of turning rows, stop
here and place marker (32, short row)

Crochet across Work along 3 sides Then crochet the round 9

the edge into back loops

R9. Crochet around the piece in a spiral. The round 9 is crocheted into
back loops only: 18sc, then 32sc into the stitches we worke in the round
8 (50)

R10-19. into both loops: 50sc (50) - 10 rounds

Change to white color:
R20-35. 50sc (50) - 16 rounds
The photos in the next page show how to
change the color.
At first insert the hook Yarn over with Pull the white thread
into the next stitch the new color through both loops
and pull the thread

Change to graphite color:

R36-43. 50sc (50) - 8 rounds
If your rounds are shiftet, then you need to
work several sc stitches. Now we will start
making theback side of the car. So we need
to make sure that it begins right above the
point where the front part begins (pay
attention to the photo with a black arrow).

Stop working in rounds. Continue crocheting

in turning rows:
R44. Into back loops only: 18sc, ch, turn (18)
R45-50. Into both loops: 18sc, ch, turn (18) -
6 rows

Cut the thread, leaving a long thread tail for

sewing.
Stuff the piece and sew the opening closed. Weave in the thread tail.

Roof and Work in white color, then change to light

blue.
windows
Start crocheting in white color.
Make ch15, work in turning rows
from the second ch from the hook:
R1. 14sc, ch, turn (14)
R2-13. 14sc, ch, turn (14) - 12 rows
Now we are going to work around the roof and continue to crochet
the piece in rounds:

R14. 14sc, 1sc into the corner, 13sc, 1sc

into the corner, 14sc, 1sc into the corner,
13sc, 1 sc into the corner (58) Place
marker.

Change to blue color.

R15. 58sc into back loops only (58)
R16-21. 58sc (58) - 6 rounds, finish with sl
st

Cut the thread, leaving a long thread tail for sewing. We will need to
stuff the piece before sewing it to the main piece.
Work in white color, then change
Wheels to grey. Crochet in rounds.

Start crocheting in white color (I used

Gazzal Baby Cotton):
R1. 8sc into MR (8)
R2. 8inc (16)

Change to grey color when making sl st

to join the first round in a circle. Make
slip stitch. Continue in grey color:
R3. (1sc, inc)*8 (24)
Finish with sl st. Fasten off the thread and cut, leaving a thread tail for
sewing.

Crochet in rounds.
Highlights

FRONT HEADLIGHTS (make two)

Work in cream color. Make 8sc in MR
and join with sl st. Fasten off the
thread and cut, leaving a tail for
sewing.
TAIL LIGHTS (make two)
Work in yellow or red color (on your
choice). Make ch5 and work from the
2nd ch from the hook: 4sc. Fasten off
the thread and cut,
leaving a tail for sewing.

Radiator grill
Work in black color.
R1. Make ch12, start crocheting from
the second ch from the hook: 11sc, ch,
turn (11)
R2. 11sc, ch, turn (11)
R3. dec, 7sc, dec (9)
Fasten off the thread and cut the
thread, leaving a long thread tail for
sewing.

Light bar

Start crocheting in blue color:

R1. 6sc in MR (6)
R2-5. 6sc (6) - 4 rounds
Change to white color.
R6-10. 6sc (6) - 5 rounds
Change to red color.
R11-14. 6 sc (6) - 4 rounds

Cut the thread and pull the opening closed. Weave in the thread tail
inside of the piece.
1. At first put the roof on the main piece.
Assembly Stuff the roof beforehand. Fix the piece
with pins and sew it.

2. Find the necessary location for the wheels. Fix them with pins and
sew them with the thread of grey color. Don’t pull the stitches tightly
to prevent the wheels form being distorted. Insert the needle twice
into the same stitch on the wheel, into both loops. The front wheel is
located stepping 2 rounds from the round where we worked into
back loops. The back wheels are also located stepping 2 rounds from
the seam.
3. Fix the front highlights with pins on the front side of the piece stepping
one round from where we worked into back loops. Sew them. Weave in
the thread tails inside.

4. Take the tail lights and fix them on the back side of the car stepping
one round from the seam. Sew them. Start sewing right from the edge
of the main piece.Weave in the thread tails inside.

5. Make vertical stitches with the white thread: two or three stitches on
both sides of the car. I made two stitches, then decided to add one more
stitch between the stitches are located on the corners . Weave in the tails.
6. Embroider the word POLICE in white color on the black part of the car:

7. Fix the light bar on the roof right in the middle and sew it. Use the
white thread. Weave on the thread tail inside.

8. Place the radiator grill under the front highlights, fix with pins and sew.
Make vertical stitches on the radiator grill using the graphite thread.
9. Embroider a star on the white part of the car sides. Be guided with the
photo below:

10. Make black stitches to imitate the handles. They are located
stepping 2 white rounds down. The length of the stitch is 2 sc. That’s all.
We finish it!
Taxi pieces are crocheted in the same
way, but we don’t need to change color
Taxi design in main piece. The main piece and the
roof should be made in yellow color.

For the taxi we need to make

one more piece
- a taxi top sign:

Work in white color. Make

ch6, then start crocheting
from the second ch from the
hook:

R1. 3sc into one ch, 3sc, 3sc into the last
ch, 3sc across the other side of the chain
(12)
R2. 3inc, 3sc, 3inc, 3sc (18)
R3-4. 18sc (18) - 2 rounds
Make 2-3 sc more to shift the stitch
marker to the side of the piece, finish with
sl st.

Cut the thread and fasten off, leaving a

long thread tail for sewing.

Take a black thin thread and embroider

the word TAXI on the piece.
Stuff the sign slightly and fix it on the taxi roof with pins right in the
middle, then sew. Weave in the thread tail inside.

Now we are going to embroider black squares on both sides of the

car. Use a black yarn and a needle. At first decide where your
squares will be located. There is how my squares will be
embroidered. I made five squares.
Run the threaded needle through the taxi bottom and embroider
the squares with horizontal stitches.

Then make vertical stitches on the squares sides to make them smooth.

Our yellow taxi is made!
