Helping Verb Hindi Meaning Example Sentence

am हूँ I am a student. (मैं एक छात्र हूँ।)

is है She is happy. (वह खुश है ।)

are हैं They are friends. (वे दोस्त हैं ।)

was था/थी He was ill. (वह बीमार था।)

were थे We were late. (हम दे र से थे।)

Do (Plural Subject) करना I do my homework. (मैं गृहकार्य करता हूँ।)

Does (Singular Subject) करता है He does not play. (वह नहीीं खेलता।)
