Major Roles & ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementMaintain accurate records of stock levels and ensure proper storage and labeling of items.Monitor inventory movement and minimize losses due to damage, expiry, or theft.Goods Receipt and IssueVerify and receive incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery challans.Issue materials as per requisitions and update stock registers or ERP systems accordingly.Stock ReplenishmentMonitor minimum and maximum stock levels.Coordinate with the procurement team for timely stock replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.Store Organization and CleanlinessEnsure the store area is clean, organized, and follows safety protocols.Arrange items in an accessible and logical order to enhance workflow efficiency.Stock Auditing and ReportingConduct periodic physical stock audits and reconcile with system records.Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and consumption reports.Documentation and Record-KeepingMaintain all relevant documents including GRNs, MRNs, issue slips, invoices, and stock registers.Ensure documentation is up-to-date and easily retrievable for audits or inspections.Team SupervisionSupervise store staff, assign duties, and ensure adherence to store policies and procedures.Provide training and guidance for new and existing store personnel.Coordination with DepartmentsLiaise with purchase, production, accounts, and other departments to ensure smooth store operations.Address issues related to material availability or discrepancies.ERP/System OperationUse inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle) for data entry and report generation.Ensure all entries are timely and accurate.Compliance and SafetyFollow company policies, safety standards, and statutory guidelines related to material storage and handling.Report any safety concerns or irregularities immediately.
