Respectful and helpful

phone calls are returned promptly. Audrey Love is my primary banker but even the tellers are respectful and helpful. My former bank has made things difficult. But the Great Basin staff has been very cooperative and helpful.

Everything I have had in mind as far as…

Everything I have had in mind as far as my preference in a bank. It is not only a bank, it is a credit union. Exactly what I have been wanting to get approved for.

Poor business practices

Went in to find out about depositing $50,090 in a new account and was told i would have to wait 1 1/2 to 2 hours to open the account. Doesn’t seem like good business practices to me. I only have $100 at the moment and will probably close the account within the next few months. There are better places….

Not great but not bad.

The only security I've received so far is against my own transactions but when my card got used by someone else fraudulently on a Saturday (when the bank's closed), and my money was drained there was no security verification. However Great Basin did resolve my issue and credit my money back to my account first thing Monday when they reopened. Not being able to call ANYONE on the weekends, not even a 1-800 number is very frustrating. Most other banks can be reached out to even if the branches are closed on the weekends. I'll stay here for a while but I'll find another credit union in time.

Upon signing up for account

Upon signing up for account, the girl helping us could not help us get our SS direct deposit transferred to our new account. Also to date our friend that recommended GB still has not received his rewards for recommending GB.
Other than that the service has been great.

Some Frustration

The employees in the branches are friendly, attempt to assist you in resolving your issue, and competent. In my experience, GBFCU falls short in both the web site and the on-line banking app. For initial users they are confusing and not user friendly. Multiple contacts were required to discover how to set up and use anything more than the basic functions. Furthermore, the live chat and phone tech support functions both provided incomplete or erroneous information at times during the numerous contacts. I feel that it is all starting to come together in this digital banking arena but I also look forward to an improvement in the clarity and user friendliness of the banking site and app. If not, while the banking services provided and the great employees of GB are valuable, it may very well cost the bank customers.

Wonderful customer service.

recently very disappointed with our credit union of many years, we switched to Great Basin Federal Credit Union and have been thrilled to once again feel like we have a place of business where we are valued as a customer. And their rates and services are excellent as well. Thank you for restoring our faith.

Customer service is superb

Customer service is superb! From the initial phone call to our meeting with Amber, opening an account, and mostly dealing with fraud was exceptinally well done. The teller noticed that we were stressed after a scam incident and offered us water.
Great experience.

entirely more professional than most in NV

GBFCU has always been entirely more professional and has higher integrity than most businesses in NV. That's not a high bar, but at least they're helping to raise it. My only complaint is that they do not update you when their app is no longer supported for your computer OS.

I am BARELY a new member and have not…

I am BARELY a new member and have not used any services at this time. Give me another month or so and a chance to experience anything from this Credit Union and then a valid opinion would be realistic.

3 steps plus phone tag to open account

The website says 3 steps to open an account but neglects the fourth step of a week of phone tag with Sara. Since it’s not our first account not sure why this call is needed. To avoid this delay just use the secure message platform or if a verbal confirmation really is needed for some reason make an appointment.

Great Service

We went to another credit union to open an account anddeposit a large check. At first we were basically ignored and then told to come back the next day. Our daughter recommended Great Basin CU and we were greeted and taken care of. A world of difference.

Eneida was very helpful

Eneida was very helpful, patient, and kind in helping me open up a checking and savings account. She is very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and even helped me set up the app on my phone. It was a positive experience.

Helpful Friendly Professionals

When I make my choice regarding with whom I do business, friendliness coupled with genuine caring for Customers is equally as important to me as the knowledge and professionalism required to please clients as exacting and demanding as I am. A sense of humor is required.

Automatic Payments

I like almost everything about Great Basin except the original setup of my automatic car payment. I thought that since I set everything up online as per instructions everything was good. But apparently not, I had to call customer service to find out why my payment had not been debited. They took care of it for me, apparently, I didn't understand the instructions completely. Or, they weren't clear, which I feel they weren't.

I recently opened an additional account…

I recently opened an additional account and the service was stellar! I just tore my office apart looking for the young man's name who helped Me! I can't find it and I always write down a name. I'm guessing it was John or Dan? This gentleman needs recognition for His patience and ability to explain things in a perspective anyone could understand. His follow through and attention to detail is what is missing in way too many business's today. He also explained to Me the method of what I will be encountering when I purchase/select an online digital Stock Platform, most helpful Person I have had the pleasure of doing business with. I must add the entire Credit Union are always at the same level. Much appreciated and look forward to many more years at Great Basin Credit Union. Thanks, Mitchell Bruns(aka David).

Starting over again

Starting over again, GB helped me with my mortgage and switching account in my name. Thanks to Missy and her staff, I always tell my friend’s that if they want good care and respect move to Great Basin federal Credit Union.

helpful and courteous

I used the Northwest Branch more than usual about 6 months ago. People were helpful, asking questions of each other so that they could resolve issues as they arose. I went there today too for more routine business, and I had no problem.
