Savings & MM accounts receive awful rates but the Visa card 18% interest :(

Savings & MM accounts receive awful interest rates :( But the Visa card has a rate as high as 18% :( Additionally, when you use your Visa card you get no cash back or other benefits.

To take this survey you require placing cookies on my computer and sharing customer info with unknown other business entities. Personal information going to Trustpilot A/S, Pilestraede 58, 5th floor, DK-1112 Copenhagen K and they are going to do "who knows what with that info". It would take reading all day long for two weeks to review the terms & conditions and privacy policy.

Happy to be here, some minor kinks

We used to bank with a big branch but switched because of the fees and low savings rates. We like that GBFCU is local to home and has a variety of products that will serve our family. The sign up process was a little more in depth than if you go to other banks, but we had our new account opened and ready to use with debit cards within a week. However, 3 months in, we realized we weren’t getting all the benefits and high interest rate on our high yield checking. The customer service guy at GBFCU was really helpful and I’m so glad we have a high yield checking, but I was frustrated that it took us two months to get all the perks of the account because of a system error. I signed up for e-bills online (twice), but it didn’t “take” until I called the branch after not getting my higher interest rate for the second month in a row. I was disappointed, and they couldn’t make it retroactive, so if you switch to this bank, be aware of that. Make sure you do all the steps and verify with the branch. Other than that, I’ve been pretty happy overall and am glad to be banking with a credit union now.

Was at office trying to get online…

Was at office trying to get online setup. Didnt approve acct fast. So they told me to head home and wait. Got denied needs different a credit access? Number. Don't want to drive all the way across town to resolve. Some tech support would be helpful.

Creating a joint account wasn't as easy…

Creating a joint account wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. That is why I only gave 4 stars. We repeatedly had to sign the same paperwork to be able to see our joint account on our own user logins. Then I had to sign more paperwork when I wanted to do online payments with our joint account. Not sure what happened but it was a pain and took over a month to get everything sorted out.

Efficient and pleasant loan process

The process for getting a line of credit was quick and efficient. The only issue was some quirky parameters for uploading documents which made it difficult to upload so we ended up emailing the documents.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and quick process and I would recommend Great Basin Federal Credit Union to friends.

A Satisfied Customer

I've been a customer for a little over 2 months. I needed assistance to open my account and received it. Any time I have a question, I receive an answer. Their accounts website is easy to use. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

Review of staff and on line program

The staff at GBFCU on S. Virginia St. Reno, is always friendly and welcoming. I give them a 5 star rating. The online program is difficult to log into and lacks clarity.

Went in to get some checks (which I have never needed before!) Staff was extremely helpful, they printed me out a sheet of checks free of charge AND they notarized my document for me! It was a great experience!

Ive never has any problems

Ive never has any problems! the people always give me a great answer to my questions and I have had a number of questions. the new Identityiq was confusing to me and my wife. and your staff had not been train on the system they were but they were able to get thru the problems we were having with signing up

I am super happy with my switch from Bank of America to Gbfcu!
The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly!
The wait time is never very long. When I go into the bank, it’s really nice to familiar faces, that truly want to help!

New Custumer to this bank and I…love this bank

New Custumer to this bank and I absolutely love it, the staff is warm and helps with anything you need. The atm machines never spit out the money even if it’s a little folded and I like how it shows the quantity of each bill. So happy.

Why change.

I have been with GBFCU since 2002 when they were in the Keystone shopping center. I now live in Yerington and I'm still happy with my bank. If I need something they are always kind and helpful.

Great Experience
