As part of a research and development project at the Institute for Energy Efficient Mobility (IEEM) at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), an adapter for e-bikes was developed that reads data from a CAN bus, pasrt and sends it to a smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
