I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Still have some of the acetate left and thought I'd make something different.......well for me.

I've had a go at making a shaker card.

The sentiment wasn't too clear here but it's gold embossing.

What fun was that.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

A3 Acetate and alcohol ink.

I'm still using the acetate, not used it all up yet.

The leaf die is Die-Namics, the red border was cut using Sue Wilson Craft Dies and the dragonfly is from an old collection of 3D insects, sadly I don't know what make these are. Finished the card with some Stickles Glitter glue.

I used a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank and used the leaf die to cut into it then layered it over the alcohol coloured acetate and attached it to the card blank.

The red border was used to mask off the tape which was used to stick the acetate down and then mounted over the design.

I love this card and hope you do too.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

If it looks familiar that's because it is but no Christmas card this week.

Lots of die cutting to create the frames and border.

Nesting dies by Sue Wilson for Creative - Expressions and the leaves by The Stamp Market.

I'm not normally a big lover of black but combined with the strong red and gold it just works.

I've layered all these on a white card blank which works with the white showing amongst the red and green alcohol.

Finished with the sentiment and red Glitter glue.

I am here today to show you a card made with a new Masterboard for The Craft Barn using Seth Apter Stamps.

 

 

Just a little peek at the Masterboard.

 

 

Also embossed onto Acetate.

 Stamped onto Shrink plastic too.

 Used Acetate to mount the stars.

Masterboard Monday

Hi Blogsters  back again with another masterboard.
As I need to get some Halloween cards made it seemed like a good idea to use the theme as a starting point.
I rather liked the masterboard I made the other week  using the Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells stamps from Ali-Craft and decided to make something similar using other colours.

       This is the original masterboard.

 

And one of the cards I made.

 

 

I decided to swap the colours around and use a black background and white ink.

Also used some card which had been sprayed with Crafty Notions Colour Sprays.

 

 

And here is the first of the cards I have made.

Couldn't resist my favourite technique of adding flying things lol!

In this case bats.

I cut these out using a Sizzix thin die and attached them to a strip of acetate.

 

These views should show the bats better.

Acetate and Utee.

Hi Blogmasters thought you might like this technique.

I made this card for my father's birthday using an old photograph which I scanned and then printed onto acetate.

(Sorry about the reflection but it was difficult to avoid).

I used an antique style paper behind the acetate for added interest.

The brown background paper was stamped with a Crafty Individuals clock stamp, embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and then rubbed over with Tea dye distress ink.

 

The frame was created using corrugated card and the Tim Holtz Vintage Cabinet Card Die.
The frame was then covered with Utee and stamped with the Crafty Individual Clock stamp.
Before mounting I coloured a metal frame with alcohol ink and finished this with a stamped tag.
The metal embellishments and ribbon completed the card.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping onto a separate paper and cutting the shape using the cabinet card die and attaching this to the inside of the card.

Stampotique Card

Hi Blogging Friends as promised here are the pics relating to the card posted yesterday. Hope you like them, any comments gratefully received.

                                                         So that's who was inside.

The faces are hanging from acetate which is suspended between the border and the main card.

The background paper was made by spraying and stamping using various Stampotique stamps and the top border was cut out using a Tim Holtz die and machining on a piece of ribbon which had been dyed with the same colour inks to match the overall colour scheme.

 

I do so like a nice finish to the inside don't you?

 

 

                                             And of course a good finish on the back.......

 

and a nice envelope to send it in.
