WOYWW - 845 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk, this was Monday!

I decided I needed to open the new ledger journal. That's a cloud stencil you can see on the top and I've  placed Washi tape around the edge before adding the detail and the Oxides and brushes are at the ready.

This is today and you'll get to see the finished page soon and hopefully more to follow.
I've also made another card which may look like the one you saw last week but it was made in a different way with a cloud die instead of a stencil and the details are on the Monday post here: if you're interested.

I used the water brushes on my desk to colour the balloon dogs.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

WOYWW - 844 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

So here is my desk for today!

I don't want to be boring with this but you will guess from the colours that I'm making clouds again!
You know those times when you can't think of an idea to get started well I'm at the opposite stage where I have so many ideas going on in my head that I don't know which one to do first and just as I start something else pops up.

Lots of distress Oxides at the ready hopefully the project will be finished for next week but don't worry I have a card to show you from my Monday post.
Details available here: or just pop down to the post below this one.

You can't help but love these balloon dogs.

And that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday review 2023.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

More views of what I got up to last year here today.

I love this technique for making Masterboards and will almost certainly be using it again.
I'm calling it Grid Masterboards.

This was a combination of stamping, smoching and free drawing.

I stamped directly onto the card blank before adding pieces of the Materboard as the focal image.

Just add a sentiment and you have a lots of great cards.

I used some really old, half forgotten wood mounted stamps which is even better.

Now this technique can be used with any colours you like so I have another one here for you with much brighter colours.

And you can apply the tape in diffierent places to alter the size and shape of the finished pieces.

These were done with Kate Crane stamps and Carabelle stencils.

One of my favourite stamps by Kate has to be the Balloon Dog.

And so it appeared again and again on my cards.

I think that's enough for today but more to follow soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I couldn't resist getting the clouds out again.

Very similar to the one I showed you last week but I wanted to see how it would look with a different coloured background layer.
If you didn't see the one last week you can find it here: then you can decide which one you prefer.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Hi Workdesk friends.

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

You people seem to arrive when I'm in between projects at the moment.
I'm still working on the project for the craft club and as it's Saturday when I will be doing it I thought I'd better get back to it and make some samples.

I have some Craft O'Clock papers that have been sitting around for a while so thought I'd use those.
I might use the tag die too but we'll see.

This is another tag die as I've not made my mind up yet where I'm going with this card. the papers are by Sizzix and just happen to be on my desk, they are new.

If you were here on Monday you would have seen this:

And the details for making it are here:

So that's me done for today.

Just wanted to say that I will be away from home next Wednesday but will do my best to link up and might just be a bit late getting round to see everyone.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Just A4 but I made two and there's plenty there for a few cards.

I had a stencil for this but you could easily cut the cloud design from a piece of plastic or card and use that.
I used a blending tool to apply some pale colours on the card and then used the stencil to apply more colour.
When that was dry I splattered white dots using a Posca pen.

The stamp is Kate Crane's Ballooon dog which I coloured and then added Stickles glitter glue to the eyes and the hearts.

I've added one of the dogs on the inside of the card too, always a nice surprise when you open the card.

Hope you like it and would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with one of these Masterboards:

You may remember these from last week.
You can find out how I used one of them here:

Balloon Dogs by Kate Crane.

For today I'm showing you one of my favourite techniques to make your stamp images stand out and move around.

I had a piece of the Masterboard left over from last week but it wouldn't just fit the size of card I wanted to use so I decided to rip it down the middle and then attach it to black card to create the background.
I've also stamped around the edge of the masterboard piece with one of my favourite stitch stamps by Studio Light.

If you look closely you can see how I made the balloon dogs float by simply attaching them to strips of clear plastic. This needs to be attached to the back of the background piece before attaching it to the card blank.

The card was completed with Bunting and a Sentiment (Kate Crane stamps), Stickles Glitter glue and strings on the Ballooon Dogs.

This is such a fun card to make and receive.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and
happy crafting.
