Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

My dear friend came to see us this week and we called in the Guest House where she was staying.

These old Victorian houses look like nothing from the outside but just wait till you see the inside.

They do tend to be long and narrow.

It's well set up for visitors.

The bedrooms are charming.

It is brilliantly clean and not a bit of dust in sight.

So many lovely things to see. None of the modern boring stuff.

These lights are just my sort of thing.

The garden is just as interesting but I'll show you that next week.
If you get the chance to visit Lincoln this would be a lovely place to stay and you can walk into the City from here too though it's not the Uphill part.

Afterwards we went to our's for lunch and my friend gave me these beautiful flowers.

It may be a while until we see her again as she's off back to France now.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Leave me a comment and I'll pop over to see what you've been up to this week too.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
Most of the time over the last couple of weeks has been taken up with work on the car that is the MGB.

Husbands can be quite useful at times! though actually I think he enjoys it, you have to keep your hand in with stuff like this.
It's actually getting more difficult to find mechanics who know how to work on cars this age and welders too.

Hubby says it's the 25 year service (we've had the car for about 46 years) and he is very good at keeping an eye on it and decided there are things that should be replaced so we had a visit to MGB Hive to get the replacement parts and I came back with a couple of gifts too, they are nice people who love MGs.

It's a bit sad though as they have many MGBs sat around in the yard that have been left to rust away.

Someone loved these at some time and now they look like this!

I am just thankful that there are still plenty of these that are cared for which is why this company are still doing so well.

I do not intend to let this happen to my girl.

In the park this week the cygnets are doing well.

And these beautiful flowers despite the  dry weather.

More  Damsons than we've ever had before.
This is the second large bowl full and lots more to come.

Thought I'd finish with some car funnies:
Just a warning, none of this is adviseable.

I think not!

I don't think she will be very happy but they mean well.

And I hope my car never ends up like this though the MGB Hive have plenty they could turn into chicken runs.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a quiet week here....not that I'm complaining and wasn't sure if I would have anything to show you but Alfie's here to welcome you.

I think he had decided the Laptop was taking up too much of my time so he decided to sit next to it to distract me.

He didn't seem to understand why I wanted him to shift! but oh that face!

We were back in the conservatory on Wednesday and what a lovely day it was though very chilly.

I think that is a real autumnal day.

My friends who were making Christmas cards with me last week gave me these lovely flowers.

And these beautiies are the new Postbox art. They are so cleverly done.

I love them so much that I photographed them at different angles to give you a good view of them.

Who ever makes these is very talented, they are beautiful.

Just a few dog funnies to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Ups and downs this week but I'm still here.
However......

The painting fairy has been

which has made the cabin look like new again.

The inside has been getting plenty of use.

But mainly it's the garden today.

The flowrers are looking beautiful.

Hubbies favourites are the

We have several of these all slightly different colours.

Next the most gorgeous rose and it smells beautiful too.

Fox Gloves, no idea where they come from but they look lovely.

The Bonsai are doing well but I think it's time for some repotting this year.

The fruit trees are looking good though the birds have been helping themselves again.

Apples doing well.
The lack of frost helped them to maintain the buds.

Pears next, lots of them.

The birds don't seem so interested in these.

We even have some damsons this year.

Just hope we manage to keep some.

And a quick visit to the park where we saw these babies.

Not a brilliant photo as I took it at quite a distance with my phone. Four cygnets this year.

And funnies of course.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
