The first Imbalance Part One preview pages are giving us major classic ATLA vibes

More from today’s NYCC panel! Unfortunately the text isn’t legible, but the gist of it is clear: the main Gaang is back together, flying around on Appa’s back, and it’s major nostalgia fuel. Then on top of THAT, we get hit with that very familiar bird’s eye view shot– it’s Yue Bay!

In about 68 years Korra will arrive there, in a place called Republic City, but for now it’s a smaller settlement called Cranefish Town, where our story takes place…

Imbalance Part One comes out December 18th!

From Cranefish Town to Republic City: Yue Bay in the time of Aang and the time of Korra

We got a look into the ATLA Imbalance trilogy at today’s NYCC panel, including this awesome shot of a very familiar location. Of course, it wasn’t called Yue Bay back then– I have a feeling a certain meat-and-sarcasm guy we know named it that…

This is confirmation that the setting of Imbalance, Cranefish Town, is the precursor to Republic City, which is very exciting. It’s great to know that we’re starting to get into those connecting fibers in the 70 years between ATLA and TLOK!

Toph vs The Boulder Round 2?!

I won’t be there, but fear not, Imbalance is the main attraction for the panel so we’ll definitely be getting cool stuff from it! Hopefully preview pages, but at least some kind of look inside, and probably the Part Three cover and release date?

As for Team Avatar Tales we can hope for the same but it’s further out so who knows. It’ll most likely be a look at her individual comic in the anthology.

It appears they represent the three Books of the show, with pins for the main characters and elements, and some be-a-utiful backboard artwork featuring the villains looming large over our heroes, with even more characters in the background. VERY stylish!
