Avatar: The Last Airbender Imbalance trilogy omnibus (all three parts in one paperback) hits shelves on August 8th, 2023. Check out the official cover art!
Do you believe the Aang comics have ended? Imbalance's conclusion felt to me like a fitting end to these lines of comics, but I'm still hopeful for a continuation, specifically one that provides closure to Azula's story.
We know there’s another ATLA comic trilogy coming– the writer and artist have not hidden that they’re doing one.
I think the current continuity of ATLA comics will probably end when the live-action series takes off and be replaced with graphic novels in that new continuity, taking place between the seasons. Just a guess. I think the Korra comics will continue for a while though.

It’s sick. And it hits shelves on May 26th, 2020.
Cranefish Town — the precursor to Republic City — is burning in the STUNNING, dramatic cover of Avatar: The Last Airbender - Imbalance Part Three!
And here’s the official description:
“Team Avatar faces their most dangerous foe yet as the bender vs. non-bender conflict turns into an all-out war in this action-packed conclusion to the Imbalance arc!
While Aang grapples with a life-changing decision that only he can make as the Avatar, Toph and Katara implore him–from opposite sides–to choose a path. Meanwhile, Ru and Yaling concoct a fiery ploy to get their mother back. The bender vs. non-bender conflict finally reaches a powerful boiling point, and for better or for worse, Cranefish Town will never be the same!”
Sounds epic.
Avatar: The Last Airbender - Imbalance Part Three hits shelves on September 10th, 2019.
Of course, before that we still have ATLA Team Avatar Tales on March 6th, ATLA Imbalance Part Two on May 14th, TLOK Ruins of the Empire Part One on May 21st, The Rise of Kyoshi Book One on July 16th, and TLOK An Avatar’s Chronicle on August 6th (and then after: ATLA Legacy of the Fire Nation on February 4th 2020)! WHEW… it’s a good time to be an Avatar fan!!

More Imbalance Part One preview pages!
These ones come from the beginning of the book and include the pages previewed at NYCC that we couldn’t read before. Nice!
Here we see Team Avatar’s arrival at Cranefish Town (which will one day be Republic City) and we actually learn quite a bit:
- Cranefish Town did indeed grow from the Earthen Fire factory settlement that was the setting of The Rift, so we’ve actually been here before!
- Cranefish Town has no government as of yet but a group of business owners including Toph’s father, Lao Beifong, have set up a business council.
- Sokka is still the king of naming and not impressed with the “Cranefish Town” moniker so it’s likely that he’s responsible for not just Yue Bay’s name but also Republic City’s.
- The preview cuts off just as it’s starting but it looks like there’s about to be a scuffle between some Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom nationals.
This time the preview pages come from iBooks. Don’t forget that we already have a bunch of pages from earlier this month as well!
Imbalance Part One is coming December 18th!
