Silas is the product of Wichita Public Schools, a USMC Veteran, an educator, and a proven leader. He and his wife Bailey have been proud residents of District 86 for over seven years. Silas is running for the Kansas House to bring new energy and creativity to our state government. The status quo isn't working for Kansas families any more.
  • Silas is determined to reduce the tax burden on working-class families and help create an economy that benefits everyone by raising wages, better housing opportunities, and supporting job training and workforce development.
  • Silas will work toward solutions for the education system in Kansas. We need to pay teachers more, and restore their due-process rights. Teachers are responsible for our nation's future and we need to support them however we can.
  • Silas will fight for environmental protection and reducing human-influenced climate change. He will support the development of cleaner, sustainable and renewable energy production in Kansas, and the protection of our precious water sources.
We need working-class people representing us in the legislature, not career politicians protecting only corporate interests and lining their own pockets. Silas has worked hard his entire life, and will support hard-working Kansans and their pursuit of Liberty and happiness in the Sunflower State.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Kansas

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
