This 1973 Plymouth Valiant sedan is finished in green with a green vinyl top over green vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 318ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, rear coilovers, hubcaps, and a glasspack muffler. The car is said to have spent time in Pennsylvania before the seller acquired it in November 2024. This Valiant is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, a jack, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Amber Sherwood Metallic (GF3). Features include a green vinyl roof covering, side moldings, 318 and V8 badging, fender-mounted turn-signal monitors, and chrome bumpers and trim. The windshield has a nick on the driver side, spots of paint have chipped off around the windows, and touch-up work and other imperfections are shown in the photo gallery below.
Black-painted 14″ steel wheels with hubcaps and trim rings are wrapped in 225/70 Hankook tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the steering also is power assisted. Rear coilovers have been installed to supplement the leaf springs.
The bench seating surfaces are upholstered in green vinyl. Appointments include woodgrain trim, air conditioning, and seatbelts. The seller notes that the driver-seat cushion is somewhat unsupportive, and the AM radio or its speakers are inoperable.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, warning lights, and gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the seller.
The 318ci V8 was factory rated at 150 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. Stamping and casting numbers on the powertrain are provided in the gallery.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes fluid leaks beneath the car. Corrosion is visible on underbody components and in the trunk.
The fender tag indicates that the vehicle is a 1973 Valiant four-door sedan (VL41) that left the factory equipped with a 318 V8 featuring a two-barrel carburetor (E44) along with a three-speed automatic transmission (D34). The tag also reveals that the car was originally finished in Amber Sherwood Metallic (GF3) with a green full vinyl top (V1F) over bench seats upholstered in green cloth and vinyl (L1F6).
