This 1983 Audi Quattro was acquired in 2010 by its current owner, who commissioned German Auto Repair in Tigard, Oregon to install a turbocharged 2.2-liter 20V inline-five from a 1991 200 Quattro, along with the brake booster from the donor car and supporting wiring, fuel, and exhaust system modifications. In 2013 paintwork was performed and the suspension was overhauled with Koni shocks, and in preparation for the sale the tires on the 15×6″ Ronal wheels were replaced. The selling dealer also replaced the fuel pump and fixed the shift linkage for the five-speed manual transaxle, and the car also has locking differentials, replacement seats with cloth upholstery, a removable sunroof panel, and power windows. This Ur-Quattro is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in Oregon with a clean Carfax report and a clean Washington title.
The car was repainted white in 2013, at which time the inner trunk was painted black. The upper trunk lid retains its back finish, and a second antenna has been installed on the right C-pillar. The selling dealer replaced the rear quarter window decals and refinished the bumper plugs. The right-front turn signal lens is broken.
The 15×6″ Ronal wheels have 205/60 Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires that were mounted in preparation for the sale, at which time the front wheels were repaired. The suspension was overhauled and Koni shocks were installed in 2013, and the brakes were serviced at the same time.
Replacement seats with cloth upholstery have been installed, and the radio has been removed. The power windows and locks were repaired in 2013 when the interior was reinstalled. The right power mirror does not work.
The speedometer and odometer stopped working at some point before their repair in 2013, and total mileage is unknown.
German Auto Repair in Tigard, Oregon installed a turbocharged 2.2-liter 3B 20V inline-five from a 1991 200 Quattro, along with the brake booster from the donor car and supporting wiring, fuel, and exhaust system modifications. A K&N filter was added later. The selling dealer replaced the fuel pump and repaired the muffler hanger in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system with two locking differentials actuated by the console-mounted knob. The shift bushings were replaced and the linkage was repaired by the selling dealer.
Records documenting the work performed under current ownership are displayed in the gallery.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
