Whew, we finally dug ourselves out from yesterday's blizzard(-ish?). It took about two hours. It's hard to say how much snow came down but it blew around and drifted quite high in places. I had to do a bit of snow management and we have some piles as tall as I am.

We lost power for about two hours. I worry we'll be experiencing more of those into March as the weather warms up and the wind blows harder.

We had a big storm come through early Thursday that knocked down trees and took out power for hundreds of thousands of people. We're on hour 53 without power. These pictures are from Facebook and show deep, heavy snow pulling down trees on power lines and cars. It was especially bad because the temperature is hovering right around freezing, which makes the snow very wet and heavy.
