Dit was de laatste dag van de 12 dagen van kerstmis. Morgen laat ik alle mini strengen zien van de kalender, samen met de volle streng die erbij zit.
Bij beide sokken kan ik nu aan de hiel gaan beginnen. Het patroon heet Snow Forest.

This was the last day of the 12 days of Christmas. Tomorrow I will show all the mini skeins of the calendar, along with the full skein that comes with it.
I can now start on the heel with both socks. The pattern is called Snow Forest.

En heb ik inmiddels van sok 2 ook het been af? Neehoor, de laatste 2 dagen heb ik niet veel gebreid.

And have I now also gotten finished my leg off sock 2? No, I haven't knitted much the last 2 days.

Waar was ik dan zo druk mee? Met wat opruimen in huis, maar ook voorzichtig, heel voorzichtig, wat hondennamen aan het bedenken. Er kan namelijk elk moment een nestje ruwharige Jack Russells geboren worden en wij hebben ons opgegeven voor een reutje. Nu maar hopen dat er voldoende reutjes geboren gaan worden, want we hebben geen idee hoeveel mensen voor ons op de lijst staan die ook een  reutje willen. Maar ik denk stiekem aan een aantal namen die ik leuk zou vinden. Weten jullie nog een leuke grappige naam?

What was I so busy with? With some cleaning up around the house, but also carefully, very carefully, coming up with some dog names. A litter of rough-haired Jack Russells can be born at any time now and we have signed up for a male. Let's hope that enough males will be born, because we have no idea how many people are on the list in front of us who also want a male. But I am secretly thinking of some names that I would like. Do you know any nice funny name?

Ik ben iets voorbij halverwege met het been van de sok. Sokken breien gaat bij mij nog steeds langzaam, maar ik vind dit wel een van de fijnste dingen om te breien. Het patroon van de Snow Forest is echt leuk om te doen en helemaal niet moeilijk.

I am slightly past half way with the leg of the sock. Knitting socks is still slow for me, but I think this is one of the nicest things to knit. The Snow Forest pattern is really fun to do and not difficult at all.

Eergisteren hadden we ook Christmas Chronicles 2 gekeken, een super leuke film. Tussendoor heb ik een beetje gebreid aan mijn sokken. Niet veel, want er werden ook spelletjes op de Wii gespeeld met de familie. Lana vind alles prachtig, vooral de lampjes in het kerstboompje.

The day before yesterday we also watched Christmas Chronicles 2, a super fun movie. In between, I knitted a little on my socks. Not much, because Wii games were also played with the family. Lana loves everything, especially the lights in the Christmas tree.
