Time...

My goodness time seems to fly for me!
I have not had a problem staying home, have you?
Of course I do miss seeing family & friends, but I would rather they be safe than anything else.

Did you do the sew along Pam Buda @Heartspun quilts hosted? You can still find the directions on her blog- look for Safe Keeping Sew Along. She gave the finishing directions on May 8th and I was sewing along until I got side tracked. ;-) I have had them both finished for over a week, but just kept forgetting to take pix~
the little 4 inch blocks went together so nicely!!

I made two right away~ one for autumn and one more patriotic.
They fit just perfectly on our little entry table.  Her next sew along starts tomorrow, and I love the little table topper she is going to be making.

I have also been making Popcorn Pouches by Amista Baker.
These little pouches are so addictive and I just know the grand kiddoes will find many uses for them.

The pattern comes in 4 sizes and I had a fun time playing with my scraps.
I used the leftover zipper tapes to make little handles. ;-)

I have many more projects I am working on and hope to complete a few by the end of the month~ that is Sunday! Eeek! I had better get busy!!

I hope you are finding time to sew and enjoying the process too.
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!!

Grace...

Grace..
is a new cross body purse by designer Yanna of BagoVado.
It was my lucky day when I first met Yanna and began pattern testing for her. :-)  She lives on Cyprus, so,of course, we 'met' on line. I have seen pix of her home and the area where she lives and it is gorgeous!  Yanna uses mostly leather and faux leather for her bags,  but cotton and upholstery type fabrics can also be used. She comes up with such fun little details in her bags.  My DD and DDIL both love the bags I make and gift to them. ;-)
Grace is mine! :-)

I used a fabric that my DS brought me when he had to work in Japan for a bit last year.
It is a little heavier than a cotton, but lighter than upholstery fabric.
It has a great texture to its weave.  The accents are a suede/faux leather I had in my stash. And the lining is quilting cotton.  There is a pocket in the lining, but I didn't get it in the photo.

You can find the pattern in Yanna's shop HERE
It is on sale now, but all her patterns are very reasonably priced.
Be sure to check out all the tester photos in her listing. ;-)
Do you like to sew your own bags?

Until next time~
happy stitchin'!!

Hey There Georgie...

I have had that song running through my head for weeks now!
I think it high time I share! LOL

I had this FQ bundle of 'Turtle Bay' from Maywood Studios that I just loved and decided this was the quilt to cut into it. I love turtles, and all things to do with them.  It was so fun spotting the little turtles in the fabrics as I sewed. :-)

The pattern is currently on sale and Erica will be posting all the pattern tester versions soon.~
Enjoy!!

Have a safe & happy weekend!
Until next time~
happy stitchin' too!

A New Designer~

I had all the luck when I was chosen to be one of
Jenna @ Jenna Luedecke Designs testers. :-)
Her first quilt is a winner!
With 4 sizes and 2, 3 or 4 fabric options and 2 block sizes, you could make this one over and over and they would all look different!
Check out her tester quilts at the bottom of the page in the above link.

I thought, ' I am stuck home, I need a big quilt, I might as well do the King size!'
LOL Go big or go home, right? :-)
I love my quilt, but I wanted to cut it a little different than the pattern so that all my wildflowers could go up/down. Consequently, I ran out of fabric. :-(
I am two blocks shy on my last row and have to wait until Hobby Lobby re-opens, and then hopefully I will be able to find the fabric I need to finish it.
So~ here is my Gypsy Tiles Quilt top to date~

Of course, every time I tried to get a good pic, the wind would pick up,
or it would be raining!!!

This was my first block, above. It was love!
:-)

The pattern is on sale right now if you would like to make your own Gypsy Tiles~

I hope you are staying safe & busy.
Until next time~
Happy Stitchin'!!

B-r-r-r-r

Who knew that having a Halloween Hop last week would bring the chilly weather?! We had rain, wind--- the power even went out for a few hours...
