The Imperial Palace, Vienna

Postcard IDAT-257048
Country: Austria

I visited Vienna in October, 2010. The city impressed me, so beautiful, soold and so modern at the same time. All these amazing Palaces, parks and so on. Everyone falls in love with Vienna when visits it :)

Hofburg Palace is the former imperial palace in the centre of Vienna. Part of the palace forms the official residence and workplace of the President of Austria. Built in the 13th century and expanded in the centuries since, the palace has housed some of the most powerful people in European and Austrian history, including monarchs of the Habsburg dynasty, rulers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It was the principal imperial winter residence, as Schönbrunn Palace was their summer residence.

Numerous architects have executed work at the Hofburg as it expanded, notably the Italian architect-engineer Filiberto Luchese (the Leopoldischiner Trakt), Lodovico Burnacini and Martino and Domenico Carlone, the Baroque architects Lukas von Hildebrandt and Joseph Emanuel Fischer von Erlach (the Reichschancelry Wing and the Winter Riding School), Johann Fischer von Erlach (the library), and the architects of the grandiose Neue Burg built between 1881 and 1913.

Also the postcard contains nice stamp with macaron dessert, however I haven't found the info about the issue name and a year:

Burgtheater. Vienna, Austria

Postcard IDAT-225775
Country: Austria

Vienna is a very beautiful city. I was there in autumn 2010, my husband visited the city this winter. There are so many gorgeous old and new buildings.

The Burgtheater, originally known as K.K. Theater an der Burg, then until 1918 as the K.K. Hofburgtheater, is the Austrian National Theatre in Vienna and one of the most important German language theatres in the world.  The Burgtheater was created in 1741 and has become known as "die Burg" by the Viennese population; its theatre company of more or less regular members has created a traditional style and speech typical of Burgtheater performances.

Also this postcard contains a stamps issued for Eurovision song contest that was held in Viena this year (stamp is really beautiful, but faded after scanning):
