Card Kit 11! - Six Cards, All in Browns, With Ultimate Crafts 'Ooh La La'

Hello Everyone!

Have you missed me, or my posts?

I decided to go ahead and post this so that you would have something to see. For those of you that live in the area of Scrapbook Essentials BC in Victoria, BC, check on the store Facebook page to watch for the announcement of this kit. For those that do not live in that area, here is some inspiration for you. These are great examples of Monochromatic colour card creations, how to make browns interesting, appealing, and even pretty, and what you can do with 'Z' Fold cards!

This is the first planned card kit for 2019! This kit comprises mainly of 'Z' Fold cards.

Remember this class I posted a while back? Well, Scrapbook Essentials BC had more of these unique paper pads and I have created another card kit for you using this same paper. Creating a vintage, and almost steampunk look is easy with this paper collection. So if you took the class and would like to make more cards with this paper, here is a kit for you!

'Z' FOLDS IN BROWN WITH ULTIMATE CRAFTS 'OOH LA LA'

Watch for Kit Availability at Scrapbooking Essentials BC

This kit is filled with 'Z' Fold cards and specialty fold cards! If you are looking to make cards that are a little different, this is a great kit! And, if you took the Ultimate Crafts 'Ooh La La' card class and loved the cards, you may want to make more cards using the same papers!

In this kit all the stamping will be done for you, the scallop and feathers will be die cut for you, but the other stamped images you will need to fussy cut out for your cards. Have fun making these cards as you follow the step by step instructions the will be emailed to you upon purchase of the kit.

I love the hanging banners made from all the left over scraps on this card.

With this card, I love that it can be both masculine and feminine. What do you think?

I really like this older Spellbinders 'Feather' stamp and die. You can do so much with it!

Some NUVO drops, a butterfly punch (or die) and you have a more feminine card in browns.

This top fold 'Z' Fold is beautiful in the lighter taupe shades. Adding the larger sentiment from Altenew, as well as the flower stamp (that comes with dies) is great too. I did not have the die for the 'hello', so I fussy cut it out to look like it was die cut.

This next one is of my favourites form this collection of cards. I used a Spellbinders stamp & die for the florals, and combined it with the Altenew 'hello' sentiment, cutting it out as I did in the previous card. There's lots of writing space in this card too!

Well, I hope that you enjoyed these cards and are inspired in some way. Feel free to ask any questions, too.

And for those in the Victoria, BC area, watch for the posting for the availability of this card kit.

Happy creating to you all!

YOU ARE A LIFESAVER - more metallic embellishments, layers, ribbon & twine.

FABULOUS - layers tucked in between matted pieces with another button & twine, and a stamped owl image to add

Another Card Kit! - Vintage - Authentique "Homestead"

This card kit is a little more involved that the last few, and involves inking the edges of all the card pieces. It has a lovely vintage look and reminds one of the days spent with Grandma in her kitchen. I guess that is why the paper is titled "Homestead".

CARD KIT # 6
8 Authentique Homestead Cards
$30 + GST (+ shipping if shipped/mailed out of town)
A full set of step by step instructions will be e-mailed to you after you purchase your kit.

Contact Stacey at sbebc2011@gmail.com  or  778-533-4290 to reserve your kit.

Hope that you will order your kit from Scrapbook Essentials BC and enjoy your time creating them. These may even give you some inspiration to create your own version of these cards.

Happy creating!

Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady Vintage Layout Class Series #1

Hello everyone! After 3 1/2 years I am back with some vintage Graphic 45 layout classes, and I'm real excited about it too.

Do you have special single photos of loved ones or friends, or heritage photos where there usually are only one or two for a layout? Do you love vintage layouts and want to learn some new techniques for yourself? Then this is the class for you! We have been requested to use the gorgeous G45 "Portrait of a Lady" collection for some layouts. We heard, and now have a series of 3 classes with Sabrina, each with two single page layouts. Each class will have a little homework, and some portions of the homework given for each class may not be used until another class, but it will help to have it done when needed.

BRING TO CLASS: paper trimmer, scissors, paper distresser, ink sponges and your favorite vintage ink colour (Sabrina used Gathered Twigs, but Tea Dye, Pumice Stone, & Vintage Photo all will work), non-stick craft mat, fine water mister, heat tool, mini-glue dots, double sided adhesive tape, glue, Black & White 3D Foam Squares or tape, and if you have the Spectrum Noir marker GB8, bring it to colour the pearls with.
Dates:
Thursday, May 4th
Thursday, May 11th
Thursday, June 1st
Time: 6:00 - 9:00
Cost: $35.00 + GST each class
Take ALL three classes and SAVE $5 each class

To register CONTACT Stacey at sbebc2011@gmail.com

Here is a closer look at each page, plus a little something about them.

Above is a photo of my Mom before I was born, and not long after she married my Dad. She is sitting outdoors and cross-stitching a beautiful table cloth, which I now have in my possession. My mom was always a lady, and this Portrait of a Lady collection fits her so very well. What better way to remember my mom than by using this paper collection. She loved roses all her life, so fussy cutting roses in these layouts is just the right kind of embellishment.

This second layout, shows my Mom with her Mom (my Omi). I believe my Mom is about 18 in this photo. I am not quite sure of the occasion here, but I believe it was the day they got their Canadian citizenship.

Love these two women.

Thank you for stopping by to check out these layouts. Happy creating!

Kaisercraft "Ooh La La" Vintage Card 4

Today's project is the last card of four, for my Kaisercraft "Ooh La La" Vintage Card class. It has a simpler look to it, but fussy cutting is still very much a big part of this card. This one I find calming with the blue background, and anything from nature seems to have a calming effect, too.

This card also has a lot of popped up layers, as you can see in the photo below.

In this next image, I am trying to get the Clear Wink of Stella to glimmer in the photo. All of the butterflies in these four cards have been covered with it.

While making these cards, all with a 'Friend' theme, made me realize I need to send cards to my friends for other than birthdays and Christmas. Friends are always there with encouragement, an ear to listen to your complaints and sorrows, and any help you need. So, I really should be giving them way more cards! How about you and your friends?

I'm looking forward to teaching this class as it has been a while since I have taught a Vintage card class.

Happy creating everyone!
