It's that time of year where I am scrambling to get Christmas cards done in time.

Since I am dropping off some gifts at my former workplace tomorrow, I whipped up a couple of Christmas cards tonight using the dies from the latest PTI Make It Market kit: Tinsel & Tags. Quick, they were not, but it was fun to do some simple layering!

Bon Voyage

My boss is moving onto greener pastures, so I put together a farewell card for her.

Even though Papertrey's Road Trip papers are predominantly US-related, we Canadians can often sneak some use out of them. :)

Dad Shaker Card

I think this is the first time that I've created a baby card for a man: a coworker had twins! I wanted to keep it simple and without large amounts of pastel colors. I decided to go with a shaker card using my Papertrey Ink Make It Market Kit.

Shaker cards can be created using almost any dies but these ones (specifically for shaker cards) sure made it easy. And the one ingredient you can't do without? Foam adhesive sheets!! Making one without is a huge pain (ask me how I know)!

I filled mine with pale pink and clear sequins as well as chunky clear glitter.

The interior (not pictured) reads: Good Things Come In Multiples (a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Bitty Baby Blessings).

It's difficult, although possible, to avoid getting shaker bits caught on any adhesive within...

A Special Thank You Card

I have crafted a time or two during my lengthy absence from this blog, but, as I tend to do things last minute, have not had a chance to photograph or post my work. I am hoping that my crazy-busy days are over, leaving me more time to craft on occasion.

Regardless, my mother has continued to fill this blog with her fabulous creations! While our styles differ--almost opposite ends of the spectrum!--we certainly appreciate this hobby that we share. :)

A friend of mine has graciously provided last-minute daycare for my youngest child on several occasions recently. I have collected a fabulous basket of goodies to give her along with this card:

This was my first time pulling out Papertrey Ink's Meadow Greens stamp set and dies. Due to my inundated email inbox, I unsubscribed to the majority of my staple blogs, but I can never seem to detach myself from my beloved PTI. My wishlist continues to grow!
