I Brake for Nature!

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I hope you are doing well!  This card is from a lovely all-in-one stamp.  The entire scene and quote are in the stamp, called Joy Comes From... — so you can just enjoy the coloring.

You can’t see it in the photo, but I added some glitter pen to the water to make it shine.  I then just framed the image and placed it over some understated, neutral patterned paper.

I hope that you have time to enjoy simple things - like stamping - this week!

I Brake For ........Nature

Hello stampers, Nancy here and  today I have a card that uses a beautiful sentiment paired with papers and embellishments.

This sentiment really speaks to me. Have you ever been somewhere so beautiful and find yourself simply at a loss for words?  It can be a majestic place like the Grand Canyon or something as simple as looking at a rainbow.  Whatever it is, it just makes you stop and enjoy the moment and be amazed at the miracles that nature provides.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of traveling, much of it in the US, as well as overseas and our favorite trips were those where we've witnessed the beauty of nature.   And at home each year when our lemon tree starts to bloom I love just standing by it and taking in  the sweet fragrance it gives off.  Like perfume for the backyard those delicate white blooms let me know spring has arrived. I'm sure those of you with gardens are rewarded with the sights and smells of nature each year.

Now - on to the card.....I pulled out a bunch of patterned paper for this one.  Lots of layers!  The frame and flowers are die cuts.

The sentiment Nature, found here, was stamped in a dark rose ink on white paper.

Before putting everything together I felt it needed some "bling" and found a pack of pearls in my stash and  thought it would work well with the design.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you can take the time this spring and summer to enjoy the beauty of nature!

Hope on over to the IBFS store for this stamp and many others.

I Brake For Lilacs and Butterflies.

Good morning peeps, Beth here with a card to share with you using the Bokeh Technique and this gorgeous Butterfly on Lilacs stamp.

I finally achieved a look with this technique that I really liked...I used 3 different retired ink pads from Stampin-Up for my background next I cut 3 different size die cut holes in a piece of transparency to use as a stencil to add my circles that were inked with Whisper White....I then stamped my Butterfly on Lilacs on the background and then on a spare piece of white card stock which I just colored the butterfly with Spectrum's and cut it out to pop-up on my card......sentiment is one of my favorites from IBFS called Nature.

Hope you have enjoyed my card will see you again next Tues.

Hugs
Beth

I Brake For Sunflowers

Good morning peeps, Beth with you again this week and I just received some new rubber from I Brake For Stamps and have used two of them on my card this week.

As you can see I had some fun with the background on this card I guess you could say I made my own Gelli Plate.....the first thing I did was add some stenciling and applied it with Ranger's Tumble Glass and Faded Jeans distress inks.......next I took the Circle Pattern stamp and stamped over the stenciling using Mustard Seed and Faded Jeans background done.
Next I took the Large Sunflower Corner stamped it with black ink and then colored it with Spectrum's and lastly added my sentiment called Nature.
This was mounted on a piece of brown card stock and then on a green card.
Well that does it for me this week hope you have enjoyed my card see you again next Tuesday.
Hugs

Sentiment Stamps

I adore all the different sentiment stamps that I Brake for Stamps carries. From funny to inspirational and everything in between. There truly is one for every occasion and project at the I Brake for Stamp Store.

Hi Everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using the Nature stamp and a bunch of Tattered Angels goodness. I simply embossed the stamp with a silver embossing powder so the image would sing all on its own.

I love this quote and had to use it on my idea of a simple card. I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Check out the new stamps that are in store. There are some absolutely adorable ones available.

Tie Dye Leaves

Hi y'all! It's Holly posting today, and I have used the fun Tie Dye Chic Embellishments technique from the new Stampbooking CD on this leafy card. The beauty of this cd is that the techniques can be applied to cards and 3D projects as well as scrapbook pages. There are 75 awesome techniques on this cd that you will want to try out for yourself.

I wanted to showcase this technique on a card since that is my primary canvas of choice. I've used this Tie Dye Chic technique with some leaves that I cut out with Tim Holtz's leaf die. The leaves are stamped with Holly's Tattered Background from I Brake for Stamps and I used my fingers to shape them and give them a real 3D appearance.

The sentiment is also from I Brake for Stamps, and I've used the Wisped Frames technique on it. I tied some linen thread around each leaf stem and I wrapped it around the edge of the card base. I opted for a clean and simple card base so that the leaf embellishments can take center stage.

Stamps: Holly's Tattered Background & Nature from I Brake for Stamps
Ink: Walnut Stain, Tea Dye, Scattered Straw, Forest Moss, Rusty Hinge, Timber Brown Stazon
CS: white, brown
Other: Labels 4 die, sponge, linen thread, Tim Holtz leaf die
TJ Technique: Wisped Frames, Tie Dye Chic Embellishment (Stampbooking CD available from I Brake for Stamps)
