My wife resigned from Swiggy and this is how HR treated their ex-employee (post separation): She resigned from her role after serving full 2 months notice period. Friday- Her last working Day Monday- She returned the laptop and office assets. Thursday- She got her FnF amount...........yeah let that sink in. Swiggy released full n final settlement amount in just 3 working days. They delivered fast to their customers I always knew but they are fast when it comes to their employees, I had no idea. And it doesn't end here, after 2 weeks my wife received this lovely goodbye gift from the HR. If this isn't the peak employee experience then what is. Kudos to the HR team of Swiggy P.S. This goes to prove that flexibility isn't just about convenience; it's about being there when it truly matters. And we're glad to see how our phased policy could make a difference.
I’m on paternity break, again. Not because I missed the earlier one… but because I can take it in phases through the first year. And the more time I spend being a dad, the more this phased approach makes so much sense! A mother’s recovery and bonding needs are intense in the first few weeks. But a father’s role is slightly different. It’s less about the immediate physical support and more about showing up during the baby’s evolving phases, the moments when presence matters in a new way. And in India, we are lucky to have parents, in-laws, siblings and a whole extended family ecosystem that steps in during the early months. That early help is a blessing, but it also means a dad’s most active role often comes a little later, when the baby starts hitting new stages that no one can substitute for. Right now, that stage for us is travel. We have a few family functions scheduled and that makes it a perfect time to plan our first trip as a family of three. First time balancing flights, tiny socks, feeding schedules and my daughter staring at airports lights like she is loading a new level 😆 This is where I feel the value of splitting paternity leave. Not one big block, but time taken exactly when the baby enters a new phase, growth spurts, routines shifting, teething chaos, or in our case, travel. Being present then makes all the difference. Grateful to Swiggy that I can take this time when it truly matters. Grateful for the support system at home that made the early months smoother.
