--------------------------
THE WINNERS OF OUR LAST CHALLENGE ARE AT THE END OF THIS POST
--------------------------
Have you seen our latest releases in store?
Make sure you check them out, we have some great offers so don't miss them! Visit the store HERE!

Time to join the team & see what they've all been up to for this week's challenge, which is....
'My Favourite Thing About December'...

Nelly:  The best time about Christmas is presents right? Here I have used winnie-winter-celebration-digital-papercrafting-download/ and coloured her with alcohol markers, the poinsettia is a clear stamp called perfect-poinsettias-13-clear-polymer-stamps/

MerjaThe design teams challenge was to do 'My favourite thing about December' so my first though was Christmas. But then I realized that Christmas isn't Christmas for me if there is no snow, so I decided to do snowman card. So I used Smiley Snowman stamp set and coloured the whole scene with shiny metallic watercolours. When it was dry I stamped text from Merry Little Christmas stamp set and added few snowflakes I made with Iced Winter Snowflake Tree Branches die (there is also some glitter on them).

Pam it wasn't hard for me to quickly answer 'Decorating the Tree!' as my favorite thing about December. I've selected Feeding the Birds from the Winnie White Christmas Collection. She is colored using Copic markers, then added to the hunter green mat with the decorative edge. I mounted her to the right side and added the vertical strip of holly & berries washi tape down the left side instead of a bow.  While here in South Carolina, we certainly wouldn't get this much snow, it's always fun to decorate a card with gel paste on the tree and ground and glittery Diamond Stickles on the fur of her coat and boots. I'd love to see how you would use this image on your card.

Nunzia: I love when during the winter we can wear warm clothes like those from Bella Bear with lots of gifts. So I colored this cute digi with soft colours and I decorated the criss-cross card with a digi paper from Printable Papers 3 Winnie White Christmas. Inside a sentiment from Winnie Celebrations 1 Sentiments digi kit.
Ruth:  Kept the colours a little sugary but girly by using Winnie White Christmas digi and coloured with Promarkers and a bit of glitter the papers are from the Big Kahuna download and I've distressed them (cos my cutting a straight line wasn't that great!)  I've handwritten the sentiment and added half pearls here and there on the frame.  Organza ribbon is from the never ending stash!
EIVOR...My favorite thing is when the whole family decorates the Christmas tree. So when I saw the sweet stamp Winnie Angel Decorations up, I felt it was perfect. I used Polkadoodles Basic Squares dies to cut out a small square as a window. The sentiment is from Winne Celebrations 1 Sentiment.

Yolanda...I love sending and receiving postcards for Christmas. They are part of the decoration of my house during the whole month of December. So I hmade some envelopes using the Winnie Winter Bearing gifts and Winnie Winter Celebration digi stamps.I have decorated them with red baker twine and I have used a stamp die too.  Also the envelopes are decorated inside with Winnie White Christmas papers (collection 1 and collection 3).

Scatty Jan For todays project I have made a door hanger using - The Christmas Joy Download bundle Which I absolutly love  - there is so much on there it gives me lots of inspiration - This will hang proudly on my Granddaughters door handle  :-)
Zoe - This week's DT challenge made me think of shopping. The happiness of hearing Christmas songs in the shops and, if you're a bit daft like me, the enjoyment of trying on Christmas jumpers & accessories!! So I used the fun Emman Canning Deer Girl image and some papers from the Angelberry Collection. I took them into Serif Craft Artist Pro to create this double sided folded project. It's a list or reminder for when I go Christmas shopping to write down what I still need to buy! Once printed out, I coloured the digital image with a mix of markers including Graph It's.

Anjie - For my card this week I have used the Christmas Joy Download Bundle which is available as an instant download so you can get crafting straight away! This kit contains 13 coloured embellishments, 10 sentiments, 2 borders and 13 A4 backing papers. So is amazing value at just £3.99!
Debbi - For this weeks challenge I have made a bottle gift tag using the Christmas Joy bundle, which also incorporates a little pocket to add a little extra gift...well it is Christmas :)
Sarah - I thought I'd try White on White this week, it's a lovely image and thought it didn't really need any papers distracting from it! The image is Angelberry Hugs, coloured with my ProMarkers and I then used various dies, embossing folders, glitter on her wings and some ribbon to finish the card.
Susan - This week it feels a lot like Christmas on Digi Choosday. The theme is Christmas Cheer and what could be better than a glass of pink champers (well one can dream) I have used Fredericka Debutante this week and coloured her with Graph'it markers and the papers are from Christmas Joy bundle. For the full list of what I used please pop over to my blog, Hugs and Happy Crafting xxx
Jo- For my project this week I used the Deer Girl digi from Emma Canning, coloured with my ProMarkers, and two of the more traditional papers from the Christmas Joy bundle. The sentiment comes with the Christmas Joy kit too! I had to add the jingle bell as it is pure Christmas cheer xx
Kevin For my project this week I have used this gorgeous Topper and papers from the Christmas Joy Download Bundle
Sally - Hi there.  Christmas Cheer is our challenge this week. So I thought I would use one of the Greetings from Here Comes Christmas CD Rom, backing paper from Home for Christmas CD Rom and part of Emma Canning's digi images Time for Tea.  I Printed off the sentiment and coloured the holly in, pan pastelled around the edge. Cut out the head and hands, coloured him in using Promarkers, attached him to the sentiment, matt and layered it on to a Spellbinder die cut and then adhered it to the backing paper.  There we have it.
So there's the inspiration for today!
I'm sure you'll agree that they're all superb makes again this week, love love love all the work these guys have put in!

Remember you do NOT have to use our products (although obviously we would love it if you did) , just add your entry to Mr Linky below (you have until Tuesday 19th Nov to enter and the winner will be announced on our Week 6post Tues 26th Nov) and pinch our badge for your blog sidebar - we'll see you back here on Friday for our usual Polkadoodles challenge....

So, let's get on with what the wonderfully talented Design team have been up to this week, you have until Sunday 3rd November to enter!......

Alethea - My head has not been in crafting lately and wasn't too sure what to make for this challenge but remembered I had a spare door hanger lying around  so I decorated that. I have used everything from the Home For Christmas CD. I printed some elements off separate so that I could give the hanger a bit of dimension and I just added a bit of kindyglitz and rock candy stickles for some sparkle!

Asha - Did you know that the Home For Christmas CD collection makes gift giving breeze? No?! You've come to the right place. About a week before Christmas I leave large home made festive cookies on my colleagues' workstations and to house these delights I painstakingly make little boxes from scratch. Not this year! Look what I found in the CD! A cookie box template...actually there are 3 and I chose this vintage looking one. All you have to do is print, glue and dress. It even comes with a sheet of embellishment. Yay! Extras from my stash: bling and ribbon - that's all. Here's to a hassle free Christmas!

Karon - I decided to use the pre-coloured images on the fabulous Home for Christmas CD.  All the images including the lovely background scene are in this wonderful collection. I first printed out the scene and secured this to an 8" x 10" artist board.  I then printed the houses out and add some foam dots to give them depth on the background scene.  Santa's sleigh and Rudolph is attached to some acetate to make it stand freely away from the background. The trees and church were printed and cut and I added glitter to them; after all what's Christmas without glitter :-)
Jo - When I saw the title of the challenge this week, I knew immediately what I wanted to make! A Christmas wreath using papers, embellishments and images from the Home for Christmas CD... and I just love how it turned out. I don't have a wreath hanging outside the house, but I do like nice decorated ones hanging indoors. With the images, I have flipped them around to face each other, printed them out and cut them leaving a small white border around the edges to give definition. I added some glitter glue to finish.
Lidia I made a Christmas wreath with Studio 12 stamps so I hope you Like this idea that can help you to decorate the Christmas Tree....
Miria  I made a milk box : it was so easy following the template from cd Paper Boutique I !
Paper and coloured digis are from fab  Home for Christmas CD Rom , the tickets are from Picknix Collection 2 Gingerbread Twist....
Sally - This weeks challenge - has been great fun as I have been making all kinds of gifts for a Craft Fair that we are having on base.  I was fortunate to find some wooden trays in a cheap store which I thought I could alter.  So, I painted the tray white then used papers, embellishments and digi images from the Home for Christmas CD Rom to decorate the tray.  It is an ideal size for a Cookie Tray to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve....

Rebekah - Hi everyone for this challenge I have made an altered tin using some fab papers and elements from the Home for Christmas CD. I love the brown and blue colour scheme and both the cute gingerbread topper and the cute vintage style ticket sentiments are also from the CD.
Zoe - For this challenge I decided to set myself a task of using the digi images from the amazing Home For Christmas CD  to create a wreath. I chose the fabulous Poinsettia and the super santa. I took both into Serif Craft Artist and digitally manipulated the images - flipping to face the opposite way & changing sizes - positioning them around a rough circular shape. Once happy I printed it off and coloured every single image with a mix of markers including some Graph It markers. I chose more contemporary colours to match my home decor and once coloured I attached a ribbon.
It's not my turn for the challenge at Polka Doodles this week but I wanted to join in as I'm loving working with the A Home for Christmas CD Collection so thought I'd gate crash and join in!
The challenge is to  make anything but a card, and here is my project. I cut out 3 tags in Kraft card and then printed some papers, embellishments and sentiments from the CD. I cut out three strips of papers for each tag and distressed the edges using distress ink. I glued the papers onto the tags and added some faux stitching with a white opaque pen. I then cut out all the embellishments and stuck them in place. I then used a distress ink on the sentiments and added them. I finished off the tags with some ribbon.

Claire C I've used some of the adorable images on Home for Christmas to create some Christmas Tree Decorations. I gave the images a coat of glossy accents and layered them up over one of the gorgeous polkadot backing papers and popped them on some die cut bauble shapes.

Hopefully the DT have inspired you to make your project for this weeks challenge and we cannot wait for you to share it with us. Please use Mr Linky to add your details so we can come over and see your project in full.   Remember you have until Sunday 3rd November noon to enter this challenge and follow our rules:

Now for our challenge for this week and the theme chosen is:

Christmas in July!
Yes, we cardmakers are already thinking of the festive season even though the heat is blistering here in the UK, so get your Christmas stash at the ready and show us your wares!  Our favourite top 3 entries for this challenge will each win a copy of our brand new Christmas collection, Angelberry Christmas, which is just adorable and is worth £11.99!

Lou: for my card, I designed my own mittens template to make a free standing swing card thingy (lol). All the paper, embellies and sentiment are from the Angelberry Christmas CD. When the card is "flat" it will fit in to an A5 envelope.

Kim - My Christmas in July card features a gorgeous digi and papers and sentiment all from the gorgeous 'Angelberry Christmas'!  I've coloured the digi with alcohol pens, added lots of glittery stuff, some ribbon, punched snowflakes and pearls.

Ruth:  It appears that I have broken with tradition this week and gone for the Studio 12 cd - Gingerbread Twist - probably because I was feeling rather peckish and these gingerbread people look scrummy to eat!  All papers and images are from the cd and I've added organza ribbon from my stash.
JAN - I have made a central stepper card using paper and images from the brand new 'Angelberry Christmas' CD. I couldn't resist this little guy - can you see his shiny nose (with a little help from my glossy accents!)

Lizzie- For my card  I used a digi image from the new mini CD Angelberry Christmas I coloured her using promarkers. Papers are from the Gingerbread twist CD. I used my Stickles glitter glue to jazz up the Marianne die cuts of the stars and icicles. boy it sparkles this card !!! Added some gems and voila !!!

I also made this card using the pre-coloured image and embellies this is all from the Angelberry CD. I used the embellies to make banners !!!  Hope you like it !

Shell- For my card this week I have used the gorjuss new Angelberry Christmas cd. I cut a ice skate shape on my cameo, then added a little trim and a flower to finish

So there is our inspiration this week!
You have until 12 noon on Sunday 4th August to enter and good luck!
