Medallion Background Stamp (CASE)

Today I want to share a clean and simple card I made using the Medallion Background Stamp.  I found a similar card in an online gallery made by Susan Copp.  She didn't have a blog I could link up, but I wanted to give her credit for her beautiful design that I CASEd. (Copy and Share Everything)

To make this card, I simply stamped the Medallion stamp twice, one in Crumb Cake Ink and one in Soft Suede on two different pieces of Naturals Ivory Cardstock.  Then I used my Scallop Circle Punch to punch out the centre of the Suede medallion and popped it up on Dimensionals on the Crumb Cake Medallion.  The sentiment comes from the beautiful Peace on Earth Hostess Level 2 stamp set in the Mini Catalogue.  I stamped it in Early Espresso. The entire Ivory Piece of cardstock was sponged with Soft Suede Ink.

I think this card would look beautiful in blue hues as well and is a simple card to reproduce for many friends and family.  The stamp does all the work!

Kissing and Thumping

I made these cards ages ago for a "Kissing and Thumping" technique class I was going to teach! I never got the chance because a flu bug got me and so these cards sat by the wayside, just waiting to be shared! So I thought today could be the day.  The Kissing and Thumping techniques are so easy and I love the look they create. Maybe I should put the tutorial online here...I am planting in my garden today and so we be outside for most of the day but I do have some projects that are half-finished...I have to get more time in the day!
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

A Three Challenge Card!

I made this card for THREE challenges! Woo-hoo! I used the Colour Challenge at "Pals Paper Arts" which was Garden Green, Celery and Kraft. This also works for the "Stampin' Royalty Challenge" to use all greens and a little neutral if needed! I also used paper piercing on the tag where the sentiment is, to add some detail! I got the idea to paper pierce the tag from the "Crazy for Challenges" Blog which is calling for Paper Piercing on cards! The sentiment is stamped in White Craft Ink and then I used White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my heatgun! To achieve the marbeled look on the Medallion image I did two techniques called "Thumping" and 'Misting". I inked up the Medallion Stamp in Celery and thumped it with my Garden Green Marker. Then I lightly misted it with water and stamped. I love how the Medallion looks! This is the first time I have tried this technique! Here is my finished card! Clean and simple! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day. I am still feeling a bit queasy and think it is back to bed for me. Darn flu bug!

Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge and the Colour Dare

This card was made for two challenges: The Colour Dare and Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge. The Colour Dare asked us to use Certainly Celery, Tempting Tuquoise and Chocolate Chip. I inked up the Medallion Background Stamp in Turquoise, love how it stamps in that colour! The ivy is stamped in Celery. I used the Vintage Vogue Set on most of the card. I also added a little butterfly to the top corner with my Butterfly embosslits die.
