Vacation #1

Andrew and I decided to do all of our vacationing this year within one month...so we will be traveling a lot for the next little bit. We have two more trips to go--here is a recap of trip #1.

Ok, so the reason we made this trip...Aubrey's graduation!! Congratulations, Aubrey!

Sadly we thought we had way more pictures of this graduation but our camera didn't get used as much as I thought, sorry to those I promised to email pictures too... :)

And the boys finally got to meet! Andrew's old roommates (along with us) had babies within three weeks of each other. This is the first time the boys got together.
(From right: Spencer--Bryce & Kathleen's son, Devin--Morian & Kirsta's son, and Keegan--our guy)

And Sadie is a few months younger and not into boys yet. But she was part of the gathering too. :) (Mike & Annie's daughter)

So we finally got to be a part of the roomie reunion...probably one of the last since the Yates are moving now too. :( Maybe one day we'll all get together when we are old and have lots of kids! :)

Andrew and Keegan took a quick snooze...sleeping didn't happen much on this trip so we had to squeeze it in where possible.

Andrew and I decided to let Grandpa Alan watch Keegan while we went to the temple and apparently Keegan spent some time in a drawer... (ok he told us that he put Keegan in a drawer but didn't really. We just wanted to see if he would fit so Andrew and I put him in it later. :) )

We are home briefly--Keegan and Lilly are enjoying a good ol' game of tug-o-war. Keegan doesn't win yet but watch out Lilly...he's growing fast. :)

We had such a good time and got to see so many friends and family. Next stop--Georgia. And then it's off to Kirtland, Ohio and Palmyra, New York. Stay tuned for blog updates.

7 Months!

Our little troublemaker is seven big months old! As I look at this picture I realize how big he really is looking. He isn't crawling yet but does successfully roll to just about anywhere he wants to get. Often he rolls himself into a corner and then gives the sad "rescue me" look. :) It's also nice because although he's been sitting up for a while now, he does it a lot better and can play with big toys (like the one in the picture below) all by himself.

Keegan is moving on in the eating world and now eats cheerios, baby puffs, and anything else he can get into his mouth. He is less and less interested in pureed baby food which I think is definitely a good thing! Lets move on to textures already! Haha...yes I know he's only 7 months old.

You can even see his two little teeth now in this picture! :)

Who could forget the dog...

I've been told that Lilly hasn't had enough blog time lately so I thought I'd share some of her exciting tidbits. :)

Around her first birthday Lilly became concerned with her figure and decided to fast--indefinitely. Long story short, after several vet visits and many different food types later (it's now been 4 months) we have to try something different every two weeks. This week we are on the "mix wet food with dry" diet. It seems to have worked for the last two days. Any suggestions on future two week intervals on how to get Lilly to eat would be great.

So far though, Lilly has successfully lost a pound. Hopefully she can stand to look at herself in the mirror again.

This is how Lilly spends her fat burning days...leisurely on the stairs. It's her new hideout.

The truth though is that Lilly is a great dog. She is terrific with Keegan, responds relatively well to sit, stay, and come, and is a lot of fun to play with and take on walks or to the dog park. But if she would just eat...then she'd be an A+ dog. Today she is just an A- dog.

Back to the real star of this blog...

Last week Keegan decided not to eat baby food either. He got pretty sick (a high temperature, sleepless nights, etc. but nothing the doctor could diagnose of course) and so we had our hands full with non-eaters. It was a great time. :)

Good news is we are back to playing as usual:
