Hello everyone.
Today's special is all about Romans. indeed, I had started some Old Glory and Essex for an Art de la guerre project. They're now well on their way to completion. I'd like to use them for a game on Monday, we'll see, we'll see. In the mean time, I'm getting ready for the coming schoolyear which is about to start. Dear me. For the first time in three years, I'll be finally in front of a class again... I hope I'm no too rusty.

Paint Table Saturday: Iberians
Hello everyone.
I'm still on holidays, for a few more days, and so I try to paint as much as possible before going back to work. This coming Monday, I have planned a game of Art de la Guerre, and I have chosen an Iberian army. I need to paint some figures for the game and I 've started on those Corvus Belli. Hopefully they will be done by Monday.
On a side note, the author of Art de la guerre told me that the English rules should be distributed by North Star, though not officially confirmed at the moment. Hmm, if this goes well, I might umpire a tournament in London...

Paint Table Saturday: ready for the holidays
Hi everyone.
I told you I had picked up my brushes once again. Today is a bit special, since I'm going for three weeks in places where I won't be able to be connected. But at the same time, I should have enough spare time to paint a bit. I have therefore prepared some stuff:
A small batch of 16 Xyston hoplites I inted to paint as some sort of black guard, of some tyrant. And next, a s***load of Romans, from Old Glory and Essex. They were amongst my first minis, at a time when you had to buy what you could lay your hands on.... But more importantly, why Romans!!!! I keep saying that I hate Romans. Well, they're for my Spartacus army, and some other projects too ;)
See you in a bit more than 3 weeks.

My not-gone-to-Salute paint table Saturday
Hi everyone. If you don't know today's is one of the most important for us gamers, where do you live? Indeed, many wargamers have gone to the Excel center in East London,to attend to Salute 2014. Lucky you. I won't go this year, partly because I'd like some family time, and partly because, even if I'm dying to meet my friends and bloggers pals, and play some games, I don't feel happy to go, don't know why. Must be the weather.
Anyway. I'll spare some cash and some free time to paint a bit, hopefully. And since we're Saturday, let's see what I have on my painting table:

Some Essex and Xyston Greeks, for an army I intend to play at a tournament in 2 weeks. Though it looks like it will be another period. Ah well. My ACW stuff is almost finished (only the flqgs and tufts to apply).

Paint Table Saturday #7
I'm finally back to the brushes! After many days without the energy to do it, I took the time to prepare everything for some, hopefully regular evening sessions.
So, what do we have today:
So, what do we have today:

Reinforcements for my brigade. Just some touch-ups to do.
More reinforcements, but on a early stage
I have an Art de la Guerretournament in a month, and I need to paint some troups

Saturday Paint Table #6
Pheewww. Barely came back from France, after an uneventful trip with my soon-to-be 4 daughter. I don't feel that exhausted so I'll wet my brushes tonight.
My top priority is my Steiner figure, which I intend to enter for the bonus round in Curt's challenge. It's finished and primed, but not based. It should be done fast enough, so that I can put the finishing touches on my new infantry unit and some artillery. Hu-rrah!

Paint table Saturday #5 And black became colour!
Goodness me. One week already gone! Still one more during my holidays, and I'm enjoying it.
First of all, a warm welcome to congtan huynh. Lots of plastic minis on his blog. It reminds me of my youth. Ahhhh.....
Erm. Though I rest a lot, exercise a lot (weight lifting), and watch a bit of TV, I still manage to paint a bit. My British are finished and have been sent to Curt, as expected, and now it's the turn of the ACW stuff and my next bonus entry.
What I actually have on my desk should be finished- ie painted and varnished- before I go back to wet London. I'm not sure about the rest, but who knows. if you look carefully into the blue box, you'll see my final bonus entry, but no word until the end of the challenge ;) See you tomorrow for my weekly review of the blog world.
Ce que j'ai sur mon bureau devrait être fini avant mon retour sur Londres, c'est-à-dire peint et vernis. On fera le flocage à la maison. Pour le reste, je ne suis pas trop sûr. On verra. Et si vous regardez attentivement dans la boîte bleue, vous verrz ma dernière entrée bonus déjà préparée. Bon samedi, et rendez-vous demain pour ma revue hebdomadaire.
