7TV Yakuza

I decided that these don't really fit the Zombie Apocalypse genre though they might be useful if I ever get round to playing ATZ as perhaps a gang or something. So instead I think they might be more useful as a criminal cast. They certainly need some kind of mastermind to lead them I need to have a think about it and find a suitable miniature or perhaps the other way round maybe.

As shown previously the first band of Yakuza I did a few years ago have been spruced up and fixed a few faults here and there now I'm a bit more experienced and steady handed :-D The tattoos I'm still not sure about they are better I think than before but still need something that I can't quite put my finger on or lack the skill to do at present.

The Group as a whole.

The new Additions (well been in the leadpile a while)
I think I'll take more pics when the light is better outside.
The new Tattoos Front

The Tattoos rear

The tattoos on his chest and stomach

Snake coiled round her leg. (Stole this idea off a guy called Tom on facebook his was much better thoough)

This week = Tattoo fun

Not much to show this week. Returning to work after a week off seems to have been such a chore lol.
I've under coated/base coated 12 Alien Drones and the Queen they'll hopefully finished by the weekend once I pop onto the LGS and pick up some Gloss varnish. I've also started a few more Dixon Yakuza that have been sitting under coated in the lead pile for to long. I saw some awesome figures over at the Bushido site which I'm resisting for now but the figures are painted exquisitely the tattoos have got me started and there is a great tutorial on there site which got my fired up to do some more work on my own Japanese themed minaitures.

I've revisited these fellas and touched up there paintjob which is now nearly 2 years old. There intended use has change some what so I've removed the leaders weapons and have reduced the tattoos. Theres still plenty more work to but I think he looks better already with a less is more philosophy applied.  I have another four in the works another thug with tattoo's as well as a Copplestone Castings lady who'll be receiving a tattoo as well but more on her when they are all finished. Theme wise I'm thinking of a criminal (Yakuza obviously) but for 7TV instead. I need to think of a suitable figure for the leader though one that looks devious but not as thugish as these guys.

The trousers have been base coated where the weapons have been removed so that needs more work to blend it in. There won't be as much black tattoo showing on the final figure and the snakes have been re-done since this picture the other night. Crappy mobile camera pictures unfortunately.

If all else fails he'll be stripped and restarted.

Done a little bit of hobby stuff this week finished basing some old figs. Done the faces on my Spyfi Rescue team only to hit a dilema do I leave them grey with black webbing or paint them white with grey webbing hmmm

What do you folks think?

Finished the Dixon Yakuza and Copplestone Future Wars Bikers. Still got the Foundry SWAT and the Copplestone NBC Troops to do when I get around to it.

A few pictures of my bench at the moment of upcomingfigures to be painted.

Pics of Chicks

Ha Ha got your attention. Finally based and varnished some of my miniatures.  All Hasslefree the Lady Soldiers set by Mantic I have repainted the body armour and added some extra highlights I think they are much nicer.

The Bases are milliput smoothed out then textured with a hard nylon paint brush you would get out of a kids paint set.

Now Hasslefree Dione I wasn't happy with the hair or the body suit so its been repainted and I think she looks alot smoother than from when I previous posted.

Comparison Pictures for those who asked about the Dixon miniatures line. From Left to Right
Copplestone, Dixon, Hasslefree, Dixon and Wargames Foundry.

I stuck to  putting in average sized people and tried to pick those with a similar pose. They are all based the same apart from the Hasslefree Lady Soldier who is on a standard slotta base and is about 1mm taller.

Zombie Hunter and Yakuza Finished

Finished my Zombie Hunter and Dixon Yakuza. Spent more time than I would of liked redoing Eyes and the tattoos but never mind enjoy.

Zombie Hunter is armed with a Crossbow and Large Caliber pistol.
Made from Foundry B team Murdock, Trimmed the Magazine off his rifle and trimmed the Barrel into an arrowhead. I then added the quiver and bow from a Games workshop Moria goblin. Finally added a space marine bolt pistol in holster to his left leg as I thought he need a back up weapon. The holster was trimmed to size as it was huge.

These Yakuza are from Dixon Miniatures and I think they are quite characterful my favorite by far is the bald one armed with a shotgun as he has a scar running across the top off his head.
I added a marine bolt pistol and combat knife to the Tattooed guy as he was unarmed again trimmed down as they where huge.
