Gifts from Slovenia!!!

Arrived home from work yesterday to a package with Slovenian stamps on it. Opening it revealed a treasure trove of prezzies sent from the Great Gentleman Mathyoo of 'The Necroleadicon' we met through blogger and talk on facebook a fair bit especially  miniatures and differences between our Countrys foods, customs and stuff really interesting. I'm so glad of Blogger otherwise I wouldn't of met such a fine fellow.

Onto the prezzies. I have some Beef Noodle Soup after a long discussion one night about soup, stew and casseroles lol.

A cool D6 with the unofficial Slovenian emblem on. The /\/\/\ is Triglav (three-head), Slovenia's highest mountain that, conveniently has three peaks. Triglav was also a god with three faces. The 2 wavey lines are taken from the national coat of arms to represent rivers and seas. I'm going to use this D6 in 7TV and specifically for the last but not least part of the package.

This funky Lady Guard. It was a figure gotten at Salute 2013 from Warm Acre Games to promote there Spy or Die kickstarter. Unfortunately I wasn't able to back the kickstarter due to cash flow but intend on getting it when its releases. Also I didn't know this figure existed  as there was no mention of this figure so this really is a treasure and the mega bonus Mathyoo has painted her to match my guards! I'm really chuffed and privileged to have such a good friend.

Really Big Thanks Mathyoo!!

I have a gift for him that I've slowly been painting but have only finished half of the two piece set I must get cracking with it now!

Big thanks again Mathyoo it will be treasured and used in my 7TV games as a Villains head bodyguard or such. In fact I think Mathyoo should pick her a name.

7TV Female Agent

Another random figure I picked up to use for 7TV gaming a female spy with an MP40 a bit WW2 you might say and you'd be partially right as the figure is from Warm Acre Games Hour of Glory Range a Female Partizan figure. however I imagine a lot of WW2 weapons where still around and available so i've change the clothing colours so they are more 70's. I think she will fit in well with all sorts of casts.

Thats it for this week the lurgy from the week before has developed into a really annoying cough and cold so have not felt like doing much at all this week. Hopefully things will pick up next week.

Mountain Miniatures Secret Agent and Brummies Angel's

Happy New Year Everyone, My First post of 2012!. Been playing with the putty more so than painting this week. My first completed miniature of 2012 is a secret agent from Mountain Miniatures a great little figure the only one at the moment but in the store there is a hint of another coming soon so fingers crossed. The sculpting was really good on this figure and a real joy to paint. I like the dynamic pose and it has a silenced pistol! Might seem familiar to some people I believe Ian Mountain has sculpted some of the Crooked dice range.

Been looking to do like a squad of Lady agents or soldiers so I've been modding some figures this week to scratch this itch. I've called them Brummie Angel's for now. The are all Warmacre apart from the second on the left which is a modded Street Violence figure. I need to add a lick of paint and see what the foundry figure looks like as she is the one I modified and resculpted bits on. The Rear two Warmacre figures are straight out the packet the front right has had the pistol removed and a smg added.

For what she looked like before see below at the wild honey figure and my previous version of the Warmacre gal

Not being Idle

Just that the weather has been pants for taking photos managed to get some ok WIP shots this morning.

Picked up some hobby stuff this week. Some clay sculpters form a local art shop, a load of D10 dice.

Thanks to Shelldrake I saw his Copplestone Kiss Kiss Bang Bang agents hes using in his Zombie Apocalypse as armed civilians.

I picked up a pack of KGB men, Top agents and Freelance Agents. I've nearly finished  3 of them two KGB and and a top agent. The rest are based and undercoated and the flesh started on some. I've tried a different way of doing the eyes and all though they aren't what I would call perfect they do seem better.

Here are some WIP pics anyhow they are ok but not great. Also included in the photos are WIP of my other Warmacre Rachel Knight figure whom i added an assault rifle to. Also my other half of my heroclix duo

This weeks WIP

Been busy this week catching up with puttying the bases on nearly all my previous miniatures that have been posted before . I have managed to get some painting done on my Men in Black and some of the Corporate Babes. Flesh is mostly done on them just need to add highlights to the clothing and paint the weapons.

I picked up a Rachel Knight off ebay for £2 including p&p to use a survivor as she comes equipped with a nice backpack and holding a revolver and has a sheathed knife. I have converted the Assault/Raiding (really not sure which is which) to be armed with a spare Steyr Asault rifle from  a Wargames Foundry Street Violence pack.

I've also joined the Post Apoc Forums after watching Mad Max 2 on telly the other night. It put me in a Post Apocalyptic mood. This has some great articles, miniatures and terrain and is nice friendly place.

It also lead me into making some Wasteland Stalkers. I bought last year some SOTR Russian Snipers and the Special Character Nika to use as some sort of militia or  Zombie hunters as they all have scoped bolt action rifles. They got bought and left in my leadpile until now. One has been converted she was carrying stick grenades in both hands (a bit strange for a sniper?) so i removed this and replaced them with some nasty looking knives The rifle is removed at the moment for painting. I think with a desert, patchy paint scheme they will fit in quite well.

Anyway enough of my mad rambling heres the pics.
