Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure ~ March edition!

Happy March! Spring is just around the corner!  Last month sure flew by didn't it? But it's the start of a new month which means its time for a new kit!   So without further adieu let's kick off the March edition of Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Adventure for 2024!!

Here is how our 2024 challenge works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. Then, somewhere along the way we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash?  We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2024. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's Blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!

Now for our Stash Bash kit recipe for this month:

This month I chose just one large kit!  Here is my entire kit:
This kit features what I have left of the Simple Stories Life Captured collection that I purchased last year at the Scrapbook Expo.  I decided that the time has come to use it since I am going back to the Expo at the end of this month!!  I plan to use this amazing kit to make a mini album for 2024!

Close up of the front of the papers:

Close up of the back of the papers:
There are so many fun cut apart cards on these papers!!

Close up of the embellishments:
The chipboard stickers and 12 x 12 sticker sheet are from the Simple Stories Life Captured collection and I also included a fun stamp set from Elle's Studio and some enamel dots from Echo Park and The Stamp & Scrapbook Expo.

A close up of my scraps:
These scraps are from Simple Stories Life Captured Collection (blue stripe & blue green dot), Stampin' Up (green words), Carta Bella (red), Simple Stories Whatever Collection (black grid) and Scenic Route (this one is super old- green with navy dots at the top).

A close up of my stash item (ephemera):
All the ephemera is from the Simple Stories Life Captured Collection!  I have so much ephemera in my collection that I need to use!! How about you?

Here are the rules for 2024:
Each month we will create a kit with 10 or more papers (dig into your stash for new or old papers it's up to  you!), 5-7 scrap papers (let's keep those scrap piles under control!), 3-4 embellishments (new or old- you decide), and a stash bash item!
This month's stash bash item is:  EPHEMERA
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but try to concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic & a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2024
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!

I am super excited to dig into my fun kit this month!! I hope you will join Lori and myself as we endeavor to bash some stash!  Remember if you play along make sure and use the hashtag #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2024.  I can't wait to see your kit!  If you create a kit link up below to share with us all!!  Happy creating!!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ August edition!

Happy August!! The year sure is flying by and I like most of you am sure looking forward to Fall, which is my favorite season!  This month's post is a few days late due to my work schedule but as they say better late than never!! So let's get the party started with another edition of our TN Time with Lisa & Lori challenge!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS:
This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). This is a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2022???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's challenge (August 15th-September 9th):

Here is my layout created with the sketch & using Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Elle's Studio Sunny Days (woodgrain), Simple Stories Holly Days (green polka dot), Crate Paper Falala (striped), Pink Paisley And Many More (pink dot), Carta Bella Flower Garden (blue polka dot), Pebbles Cozy & Bright (floral), and  Coca Vanilla Joyful (plaid); Stickers: Simple Stories Holly Days; Letter Stickers: American Craft Thickers; enamel dots My Mind's Eye and date stamp: Heidi Swapp.
I had so much fun mixing up all these different manufacturers!!  These paper were all in my scrap pile except for the woodgrain paper that was a full 12x12 sheet from my Stash Bash kit for August!!   Every time I look at my scrap pile I think it is growing without me adding to it, so gotta keep it under control!!

Now for some close ups:
I just love this sticker of this gal with all those packages, I thought it was perfect to document our girls holiday shopping trip last Fall!  I used 2 polka dot papers here as you can see, I just love polka dot papers, don't you?

I love the woodgrain paper for my large tag! Instead of punching a hole in my tag I decided to use this floral sticker at the top and like how it turned out!  I also used another polka dot paper on this page to satisfy Lori's challenge to use polka dot paper so all in all I used 3 different polka dot papers!!

Now for a few close ups:
I had so much fun decorating this pocket!  I think pockets are one of my favorite things!  For Lori's part of the challenge I used flower paper, after all doesn't an engagement photo call for flowers???!!!

Here I used a gorgeous flower sticker to complete Lori's part of the challenge to use flowers on your spread!!  The challenge to use flowers was super easy for me, I love using flowers on all my projects!

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ June edition!!

Happy June!!  Wow, this month is flying by!  As you may have noticed this post is a bit late this month and that is because I was out of town last weekend and unable to get my post up before I left!  But better late than never right??!!  So let's get the party started for another edition of our TN Time with Lisa & Lori challenge!

Now for Lori's Challenge (June 18th-July 9th):

Here is my layout using both the sketch & Lori's challenge:
I just had to document this hilarious story from my glamping retreat at The Lone Star Glamp Inn back in April!  This pocket was the perfect spot to document this funny story of the mysterious case of the missing campers!  My fellow campers Merry & Jodi pictured with me here and I actually missed the first group photo!  We were in their tepee and didn't hear the announcement to go outside for the picture!!  So when we came out of their tepee a few minutes later everyone was gone!!  So we went outside and walked around the corner only to find out that they had already taken the photo!!  Luckily they hadn't put everything up yet so we were able to get in the photo on the second take!  The funny part is that everyone was suppose to make sure their roomie was there and that no one was missing....but my roomie just assumed I was there somewhere in the crowd...but thankfully we didn't have to set the photo up again as we weren't THAT late lol!!  But it got a lot of laughs from everyone and will be a great camp story to tell for years to come...however, our fearless leader Paula G didn't think it was so funny.  I think she will agree that getting a group photo is somewhat like herding cats!!!

Now for some close ups:
Here is a close up of the label I used for Lori's challenge!  This label and the ephemera are from the Let's Get Crafty line by Kelly Bangs for Simple Stories!!  I thought it was only fitting to use this line since Kelly was at the retreat!!

I used a Project Life Journal card to document my story instead of a tag as it gave me more room and was pre-made, which is a plus!

Supplies Used:  Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Let's Get Crafty & My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy (Scrap for banner on pocket); ephemera: Simple Stories Let's Get Crafty; enamel dots: Pebbles; letter stickers: Bella Blvd (pink) & Jillibean Soup (blue); Project Life card- unknown source.

NOW FOR THE RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:
1.Create a TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK, PLANNER, OR BULLET JOURNAL spread based on the CHALLENGE THEME and/or our sketch.

Happy Monday!!  This year has flown by! Can you believe it is almost 2022?  It doesn't seem possible the end of the year is upon us does it?!!  I am sorry for the delay in posting our challenge this month, life once again has gotten in the way with plumbing problems & various other issues, but all is well now thank goodness! I'm excited to share this month's sketch and challenge with you, so without further adieu, let's get this party started!!

Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's December challenge (December 20th - January 9th):

December is a busy month so we decided that we needed an easy challenge this month!  You can't get much easier than anything goes can you??!!!

Here is my layout using the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Simple Stories Merry & Bright and Vicki Boutin Warm Wishes (word paper); stickers: Vicki Boutin Warm Wishes (words) & Simple Stories Merry & Bright; ephemera: Simple Stories Merry & Bright (tree); stamp: Elle's Studio; ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & enamel dots: Carta Bella Sunflower Market.

I am still working on my 2020 TN.  This is the second to the last spread in this book!  I am excited to finish it next month!  This picture is from last year's trip to Downtown Fort Worth to see the lights and the Christmas tree!  Such fun memories and a great tradition!

Now for some close ups:

I love how Simple Stories does layered stickers!  It gives texture to your layouts without all the bulk, which is important in a traveler's notebook!

I created my own Project Life card using some word paper and a cute Christmas tree from the ephemera pack that came with my Simple Stories Merry & Bright collection!!  I added computer journaling to get everything to fit in the small spot I had for journaling!!
