Last couple of weeks has seen a pretty eclectic variety of stuff coming off the bench.
Starting with a Dreadnought and a Devastator squad armed with converted lascannons for my Imperial Fists army
Water elementals for my Kings of War Forces of Nature army
Characters and a Venerable Dreadnought to lead the Imperial Fists
And lately a plunge back into 10mm Napoleonics - 95th Rifles by Pendraken, some Magister Militum skirmisher stands, and French line and artillery by GHQ. The GHQ figs are very nice but considerably finer and smaller than Magister Militum or Pendraken..
And finally my warband of Untamed Beasts for WarCry - these guys were made for GW Contrast paints!

Kings of War Forces of Nature and Imperial Fists
With the 3rd edition of Kings of War recently dropped, and an upcoming couple of local tournaments, I decide to assemble a new fantasy army. I decided to go with a Forces of Nature theme, and here are some of the core bits including Earth Elementals, a unicorn, a griffon, swampy (both the griffon and swampy are played as beasts of nature) and swarms of vicious wee beasties (the blobs). This army will have a decidedly "heavy" theme featuring 3 hordes of large infantry (others in progress) and five monsters.
I also finished the core of my next 40k Imperial Fist derived chapter - this is basically the Prospero box set painted in yellow including the Custodes, Tartaros terminators and Sisters.

What's new in 2020?
I decided to work up a Space Marine army after listening to a bunch of Horus Heresy audiobooks over the past month. I decided on doing Imperial Fists - and after looking a few tutorials using the new Citadel contrast paints, decided to go that way. I started with the Prospero box sex to form the core of my army - these guys are Heresy era (30k) in MkIII iron armour which I think looks cool and fits the meta of the Imperial Fists. I also did a few Knights and a Titan for Adeptus Titanicus to round out my full maniple. I experimented with the new Citadel technical paints make the bases a Martian earth theme.

Bit of this, bit of that
An eclectic range of figures came off my bench in the past couple of weeks. First off, some Necron conversions - flayed ones and deathmarks converted from warrior bodies - to add a sniper team and some melee to my Necron kill team for the Urban Conquest campaign I have started with a few buddies.
Some ECW commanders, including two different Rupert's, a Lord Byron and a Lord Minimus.
And a bunch of French gendarmes for KoW historical late medieval armies. Nice figures from Foundry.
And a Bolt Action 28mm grenadier test figure.

Reaper Bones for KoW and Titans
I took a break from ECW for a week to paint up some of my Reaper Bones models for Kings of War armies. Including some translucent Barry Whites for my Undead army:
And a couple of Cloud/Storm Giants.
And also Adeptus Titanicus strategem markers:
Which reminds me that I forgot to post my completed AT Warlord Titan and maniple of Legio Ignatum now complete:
Meet Polistes Rex, fully magnetized and armed with two volcano cannons:
Battle maniple of the Legio Ignatum - yes I have left the bases plain because I don't have the stuff to do them justice:
A couple of There Wolfs - I need a couple more to make this a Horde strength unit.
And a couple of Cloud/Storm Giants.

Adeptus titanicus Reaver titan
I could not resist GW's recent Titan battle game Adeptus Titanicus, so I picked up the rules and a battlegroup box set consisting of a Warlord, Reaver and 2 Warhounds. Here is the Reaver (the medium sized titan) which stands about 5" tall. They are intended to be approximately 8mm scale. Two of the Blackstone Fortress characters just finished are shown for scale - these are Taddeus the Ministorum Priest and UR-025 Imperial Robot.
I have named the Reaver Tenebris Vespa (Dark Hornet) and painted him in livery consistent with the loyalist Legio Ignatum (the Fire Wasps). The hoops on the shoulder and boot armor are intended to be waspy. I magnetized the carapace and left arm weapons, and the left arm can be swapped for a gatling blaster. I am really looking forward to playing this game!

Blackstone Fortress and some Gauls for a change
I picked up Blackstone Fortress at a Boxing Day sale over the hols and started with the easiest models - sentry drones, Ur-ghuls and a couple of mutant imperial guard.
Then my chum Jon expressed an interest in playing some Warhammer Ancient Battles so he can get motivated to finish his Imperial Romans, this inspired me to dig out my Celtic hordes and even paint a blister of Foundry Gauls that have been in my unpainted Ancients box forever. Nice figs - as one expects from Foundry. I experimented with doing flesh by airbrush and wash. Always fun to paint the hairy guys!
