Snow Blocking a Garage Entrance on Long Island. By Geniusofdespair

Get out the shovel. Long Island got snow with a lot of wind -- drifting. They were calling for gusts of 40mph. This Commercial Garage is near Islip where they got 24.8 inches.

Happy Thanksxmas From New York City. By Geniusofdespair

One Day It Was Thanksgiving - The Parade

The Next Day It Was Christmas at the New York Public Library
For This Guy at Penn Station...The Blended Holidays are Far Off. I looked at his Facebook Page. It seems like over the years, most of what he was doing got lost in the mail. Maybe it isn't the FBI, maybe the mail service is driving him crazy. I wish this guy a lot of love and maybe some medication.

The main library seemed to be hurting. The main reading room was closed down because a chunk of plaster fell from the ceiling and they have to inspect the whole thing. Many other parts of the library were closed off and the long gallery room with the paintings was being used as the reading room. They were asking for donations all over the place. The Metropolitan Museum of art was a different story. It's being kept up beautifully.

Video of the snowfall, 28 inches by my brothers estimation...although the TV said it was 30 inches.

My brother said he used a snow blower to remove the snow:

NYC Freedom Tower...still soaring. By Geniusofdespair

My brother sent me this photo of 1 WTC (World Trade Center) seen from Fulton Street: Height will be 1,776 feet when done with 104 floors. It has been in construction since April 2006. In comparison, the Empire State Building is 1,454 feet high and 102 floors.

You couldn't get me to work there, too much history.

Grumpy in New York. By Geniusofdespair

I just finished half a bottle of Pepto-bismol. Didn't sleep well as the smoke detector was right over the bed and it has a strobe light on it. Who designs these things? I am getting old, my patience wears thin too quickly.

On my way into Manhattan. If I feel better it will be pizza for lunch and jazz later.

12/23:
I saw the Aaron Goldberg trio last night. Really liked them. I woke up with a fever. No wonder I am so grumpy...bah humbug.
