More Spring Fun!

We just kept on going with our fun spring activities!

It's another piano recital!  We played music from the different time eras in music history.  Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th century and today's current music.  It was great to hear the variety!

These are the cute Stapley girls that matched me perfectly!
We love having Katie as our children's piano teacher.  They enjoy her so much!
I had Caden dress up as the famous Bach for his song "Toccata and Fugue"!  Caden loves Bach's music!  He was such a good sport to do this at the recital.  Ha ha!
We celebrated after at the yummy Red Robin!
Evey had her very own dance recital.  She performed a tap number to "A your Adorable..."  So stinkin' cute!  The Dad's got to go on stage to escort the girls off.  For the evening of the performance, they gave their daughters a bouquet of flowers!
Still practicing at the dress rehearsal
This is the real thing.  Ofcourse they did such a great job singing and dancing!  These girls could get away with anything!
Evey sure loves her daddy!  I adore these pictures of them together!

Evey had a great year doing tap and ballet at Dance Alliance.  She was the sweetest little dancer!  I looked forward each week to taking her to her Wednesday class and watching her learn through the glass.  She caught on really quickly and made some cute friends!

For Mother's Day, Curtis took our family up to Oak Grove for a little hike and beautiful view of the area.  It was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy each other!  I love my family and I love the beauty of nature!

It's brace face again for phase 2 of his orthodontal work.  Carter wants to be an orthodontist when he grows up.  He will know first hand exactly what braces, spacers, pulling teeth, and getting cavities filled are all about.  Poor guy has been through a lot with his mouth.  He's gotta look good for his future profession!  Way to hang in there Carter!
Emery started work on her mouth too
with an expander in her cheeto filled mouth.  Ha ha!

Let's go fly a kite!  It was a nice windy day so we cracked these kites out that the kids get every year from the kite festival.

Woa, this was a bit of a struggle for little Evey.  She sure likes to hold her own and experience the same activities as the older kids.

We didn't get enough of the Coral Pink sand dunes and had to go back for round 2.  This time the sand was very hot on our feet!

 It's a sand couch!
So comfy.  I just needed a good book and a yummy drink!

I love how big and open the area is!

The Houskeepers invited us over for Memorial Day.  We had a delicious barbecue with their family and the Poultons.  We all had a blast together in the backyard with the water activities!  Thanks Houskeepers for a good time.  You really out did yourselves!

Spring Fun!

With 5 children there is never a shortage of exciting activities going on!

Caden had his science fair for 5th grade.  Yay it's the last year!  As you can tell, mom is not a fan of these projects!  We did have some fun and Caden learned that ice with woodchips was the strongest kind of ice, vs. regular ice and ice with flour!

The beloved Hassler family came for a visit in April since it was Abigail's dance competition!
It wasn't all about the dancing though!  Let the arm wrestling begin..

and some picnicking and hiking in Snow Canyon...
 and some caterpillar catching!

Both Evey and Abby had their dance activities.  Evey was happy to wear her little outfit while watching Abby perform.  Evey was all ready for her class pictures after!
Way to go Abby!  We love watching you light up on stage!

Since Curtis and I didn't get enough of the sand on our cruise, we had to go check out the Coral Pink sand dunes!
It was so great to have Curtis' family along!
My kids just adore Shane and Laura's boys!  They have a blast together!
 Surfin' USA!

Doesn't it look so fun!  I like how the slide is not as fast as winter sledding.  You feel more in control on the sand!

Shelly, Allen, and Shane were so nice to share their 4 wheelers with us!

On our way home, we saw another set of dunes that we had to be a part of.  Curtis stayed a ways back and took these pictures of us!

These dunes reminded me of "Aladdin"! I highly recommend this place to families. We have great memories!  I over estimated the walking distance.  It was longer then I thought and it was very difficult to get my kids back. But at least we had a wonderful time sliding and walking along the edge!

It's just a lazy Saturday under the sun!  I ordered these cute parasols and petti skirts for the girls.  They happened to notice the UPS truck delivering them to our door!  I couldn't resist.  They were so excited to try out their new stuff!  Liam was over playing and he was such a good sport to play with the girls.  He often gets roped into girly activities!

Carter was so excited for the release of a new book, "The Serpent's Shadow".  While I was sleeping he made these arrows so I was sure to notice his reminder note to go out and buy the book that day.  I thought it was too cute and yes I remembered to buy it!

It's another orchestra performance at school!  This time they performed Disney tunes!  Carter really enjoyed that!

Miss Evey likes to keep up with her brothers and sisters and stay just as busy.  Carter is having her read his 3-4 letter words he wrote down.  She is such a smart girl!  Mom is so happy that she is reading!

It's a fishing day with Dad's for preschool!  We went to the pond by our house.  It's too bad the fish weren't biting.  Evey still enjoyed holding the rod with her daddy!

She also got to be in the "Cotton Days" parade with her preschool class and Miss Lindsey!

 Parade spectators!

Evey also got to be a part of the Mother's Day tea party through her preschool.  It was a busy spring for her!

We had fun dressing up all fancy and pretty!  I felt very honored as Evey's mom!
Evey, you're so stinkin' cute!  You were so thrilled to wear this princess dance outfit of Emery's!
Brooklyn is in Evey's class and she was one of my favorite's.  Such a cutie with her mom!

Lindsey and I had fun interviewing all the kids, asking them questiions about their moms.  This is what Evey said about me!

These cute notes were read out loud at the party. We also had yummy treats and watched the kids perform a poem and song! Good job Evey! I know you love me and I am so lukcy to be your mom!

Miss Lindsey graduated from Dixie State College!  Yipee!  She is on her way to becoming a teacher!  We love you Linz!
Evey kept busy while waiting for Lindsey to walk across the stage!

Sweet Ella had projects of her own going on!  She had to come up with a sock puppet for Mrs. Angona.  She came up with a duck.  As you see, it is not just any ordinary duck!  It's the girliest duck I have seen!  She's all decked out with eyelashes, flowers, and bows!  Ha ha!  I had to laugh as we were doing this project together.  Miss Duck just got fancier by the minute!  Ella loved how she turned out!
 A duck profile!
Ella's first grade performance was wonderful!  I really loved all the songs this year.  It seemed so original and the kids just sang their little hearts out!
Ella sure loves her classmate, Monika!  They had many hours of recess fun together!  Ella is sad that she moved to Salt Lake!

More spring fun to come...
