When the Woodwards were here

We had a most wonderful visit with the dear, sweet Woodward family!  I sure love it when a sistah comes into town.  Woowee!  We have a blast!

Laurette had the fabulous idea of going to see The Phantom of The Opera in Vegas before it was gone.  We really enjoyed the show.  It was so cool and the music was powerful and good.

And this was Will's favorite part, visiting the famous "Hash house a go go" in the Imperial Palace.  It's a pretty cool restaurant with HUGE portions!
It's pretty crazy when your dinner goes halfway up your face!

We made a visit to our beautiful St. George Temple.  It looked so neat with the storm clouds behind it.  I just love this temple.  We are so blessed to have it so close!

These cute little girls were more then happy to pose for some pictures!
Another one of our adventures involved going to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Will was pretty brave to be present at the look outs.  He has a definite fear of heights.  Pretty nerve wracking!

Oh my, you can tell mom wasn't here to stop this from happening. (below) I had to march back to the car with a grumpy, tempertantrum Evey who did NOT want to hold my hand.  Kids just don't understand the dangers.  Ahhh!  Thank goodness they were watched over!
Such fun cousin sleepovers!  Giggling and talking into the night!
And such amazing performances by the girls!  Dancing and singing with their own compositions.  "Ooooo, oooo ooo la la!"
"Tralalalalalalala, grow a little seed, on the mountain side. "  Eden was very creative with these lyrics!  I sure love all these girls.  Their entertainment was just as good as Phantom of the Opera.

We love this family and are so happy that they came all the way down South to visit us!  Thanks for the good times guys!

Back to School 2012

It's that time once again, and it sure comes early in Washington, Utah.  Starting school in the middle of August seems ridiculous!  But hey, I don't rule the world!

Caden started at Sunrise Ridge Intermediate.  6th grade.  Woa and such an early morning with the bus arriving at 6:52am.  Ugh, mom and dad highly dislike that!  He got to sleep in a bit longer with his mommy giving him a ride.  He liked his first day and enjoyed switching classes each period!
Carter started 8th at Desert Hills Middle School.  A new school was a bit nerve racking but he did well since we walked through the school previous.  The first day went as smoothly as possible!  He just dreads the homework!
Emery started 4th grade with Mrs. Anderson at Horizon Elementary!  She looks so cute in her new clothes!
And fancy miss Ella looks way too grown up for 2nd grade.  She wanted curls in her hair and "high heeled shoes"!  Ha ha!
Evey is always such a fan of these 2 and loves to follow their every move.  She tagged right along as they got ready and took them up to the school!
Mrs. Scott is a great teacher!

They're off to a great start!

We love our Canadian Summers 2012 (part 4)

We love the Hancocks!  We had fun camping, fishing, visiting lakes, seeing cousins and being in the most beautiful places and looking at the most beautiful scenery!  It was all so great!

Curtis grew up with these cute cousins, the Olsen girls!  It was Kimberly's homecoming from her mission in Olds.  We had a good time chatting with them at the family dinner after!
Sipping chocolate milk in Auntie Brenda's trailer at the "Gap" with Adelae!
These kids were doing a good job of singing a primary song for everyone!
Around the campfire trying to avoid a stink bug, or whatever that large, black creature was flying around and landing on everyone!
There he is!  Caden is just fine with the thing hanging out on his lap!  Ha!
The girls were in love with Delise's horse!  So fun for them!
A great activity for the boys to release some energy!

Priscilla, a sister to Uncle LaDell is always so sweet to our kids, offering them all kinds of yummy treats and taking them fishing!
Grandma and Grandpa Hancock are so great to make us these lovely outdoor pancake breakfasts with the works!  We love them!
Grandma is so good to come prepared with crafts for the kids!  Her trailer is full of fun surprises!

We spent lots of time at the river wading and throwing rocks!

Bath time, swim time, crazy mountain water cold time!

Talk about being on top of the world!

Fishing is a big part of our camping days!  Everyone loves it!  The fish were scarce this year!
Helping Zachary!
Caden doesn't look too thrilled does he?!

Here are the catches!

Delise is the master fisherman I think!
 Time to cook that thing!

All done camping, we are back to visit the beautiful Waterton!

We found this teepee someone had built, as we were walking around the lake!
So very pretty.  I could have sat there all day!

On the road to Cameron Lake, we saw these adorable baby black bears.  I'm sure mama wasn't far off!
Taken from the vehicles ofcourse!  A pretty good shot!
This is Cameron Lake, another gorgeous place.  I love the sparkles on the water from the sun!  I could have sat there too!
Cute girls, and one boy!
Our cute kiddos!  Where is Carter? Well, he had lost his sunglasses on the way up and was upset, so he was spending alone time in the van.
It's time for our traditional icecream cones at The Big Scoop!
Grandma and Grandpa treated us to these fun bicycle cars!  Thanks!

What a great vacation we had!  And it's all because of wonderful family who are so good to us!  We love you all!
