I'm bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, bored, boRED, BORED!!!
Things I've learned since we put the house on the market:
- A clean house is like a watched pot that never boils.
If the house is clean, no one will come.
- Dust is a real, living entity. It breeds, and once you think you've nuked the last dust bunny, you'll be proven wrong because once a sunbeam comes through a window you'll see that the air is filled with them.
It's like witnessing a dust bunny family reunion.
- Pet hair... it keeps the dust bunnies company. It will never, ever leave.
- Kitty litter... See "Pet Hair" and "Dust Bunny" above.

- I saw two of our bluebirds today. I wonder if one of them is Duncan?
Or FIEVEL all grown up? Ya never know.
- We had to stop feeding the birdies so that this hawk will stop hanging around here. We'll stop feeding them for a couple weeks, until that hawk knows there aren't any birds over here anymore. I hate that we have to do this, but it's safer for them this way.
- Gave the dogs and cat their baths today.
While I was grooming Wendy, she tried giving me a near death experience.
- The weather today was BEAUTIFUL, so Mom, Dad, myself and ALL the pets hung out in the backyard.

While out there, I groomed the doggies some. Izzy was not very happy about that, but I'm glad I did it. I'm not nearly finished, but it's a start.
While I wasn't grooming Izzy, she was sitting in the safety of Mom's lap. Lol! Maddie of course wandered everywhere, but her favorite spot was in the flowerbeds. I guess she isn't a fan of staying clean after a nice bath.
The cats were LOVING that sun. It was a constant battle making them stop eating the grass though. It's too bad the weather isn't like this in the summer.
When I win my millions I'm definitely going to have one of those outdoor cat enclosures. It's gonna be one with platforms and which goes up into the trees and everything. They would be on cloud nine if they had one of those.
- While I'm feeling sooooo much better, I'm afraid Dad is now getting sick.
I feel so guilty. This is his first vacation he's taken, and now he has to go back and he'll be sick.

Last night I had another nightmare about my little canary (Westley) that passed several years ago, and then a lot of just plain strange dreams I can only recall bits and pieces of.
In one, there were little baby chickadees everywhere! I don't know why, but we were in the garage. There was a hole at the side of our recycling bin, and they all scampered through it and to the other side. I was petrified of Wendy Kitty catching one of the little guys.
When I looked it up in a dream dictionary, it read:
"To see a chickadee in your dream, indicates that you need to pay attention and become aware of something unique and special occurring in your life."
"To dream that you are in a garage, signifies a period of inactivity and idleness in your life. You feel that you are lacking direction or guidance in achieving your goals."
The first part makes no sense to me, but the last part definitely does.
I really wish these nightmares about Westley would stop though. It was really horrible, and these Westley dreams always have the same theme. Honestly, I don't even want to write it down because it was so terrible and VERY unsettling.

Maddie is one happy girl today! Dad came home for his first visit from out of state, so she's pretty psyched.

Izzy is kind of a basketcase though. She won't let me go outside or inside the house without her.

There's A LOT going on today:
- My nephew's 16th birthday
- My nephew took his drivers test this morning
- My Dad's 63rd birthday
It's also:
- Sam Houston's birthday
- Texas Independence Day
- Dr. Seuss's birthday
Luke is VERY excited about getting his drivers license today. I don't know what else he did today. (On the kids' birthdays, my sister always takes off work and lets the birthday kid... or "kid"... stay home from school. They always sleep in or go out and do something special; lunch, shopping, or whatever they want to do to celebrate. Usually, they have birthday cake for breakfast but since Luke had his driver's test this morning and was so nervous... I think eating cake was the furthest thing from his mind).
God, I cannot believe Luke is SIXTEEN!!!!! My little jellybean's all growed up. It's
He was born at 12:12 in the afternoon, so when I saw those numbers on the clock today I actually teared up. (Yes, I'm so pathetic).
Since it's Luke's birthday, I must post his favorite song from when he was little. He used to sing and dance to this every single day at our house, over... and over... and over again. Lol! He learned the lyrics, dance steps and everything. It was so adorable. It will ALWAYS make me think of him. One of these days I'll find out how to transfer home video of it to the computer.
