Amano Nene is one of the protagonists of Digimon Xros Wars.
Profile[edit]
Nene is a mysterious girl who resides within the Digital World who comes and goes as she pleases. She is the General of the Twilight Army and specializes in information and reconnaissance. She keeps close tabs on both Aonuma Kiriha and Kudou Taiki and their teams. Upon being questioned about her stalking habits, she says that she likes strong boys who can fight.
Nene often serves as a walking tutorial for Xros Heart, informing Taiki about the Code Crowns, Zones, and various functions of his Xros Loader. On several instances of Taiki becoming endangered, she has informed Kiriha of his whereabouts and situation, prompting the other boy to rush off to his rescue.
Although she doesn't openly flaunt it, Nene is extremely strong, possessing Digimon with high firepower such as Sparrowmon. In "Xros Girls!! The Mysterious Beauty Nene!!", she is shown to be sunbathing in the Island Zone... while Sparrowmon completely tears Neptunemon's army apart.

Digimon Xros Wars DIGIMON EXPO'25 Reading Drama[edit]
While Nene does not appear in the Reading Drama, she's mentioned several times.
After Akashi Tagiru asked why Nene wasn't with the rest of the Digimon Xros Wars crew, Amano Yuu explained that, during their final battle, Aonuma Kiriha had fought alongside legendary heroes that were all pretty girls, which left Nene in a sour mood. He then asked Kiriha to do something about it but Kiriha just bashfully asked him not to talk about his personal matters so lightly. After Hinomoto Akari Reloaded Mervamon, Yuu pointed out that Nene giving Akari her Digimon meant she must be really mad at Kiriha. With the battle finished, Kiriha pointed out they went through a harsh battle that would've been impossible if any of them were missing, though Yuu pointed out he would've been more at ease with his sister there. Kiriha swore he'd properly explain himself to Nene, which made Damemon think he was no good too.

- At the "Hypnos Meeting 2019", Nakashima Yuuki leaved open the possibility that Nene and Kiriha could have a future as a romantic couple. However, according to the author, the characters might be looking for different things in marriage, making it hard to work out.[31]
