the beginning was DARK, being inside of gibsie’s head was dark and I already knew it was gonna hurt. But then, a bunch of nothing happened until the very last 20%. Seriously. And I wouldn’t have minded, I love me some fluffy filler, especially when my family shows up. I love me some good boys of tommen drama and fun, but then the end was all smushed up in 20 pages and a thank you for reading, wait for the next one where the rest of the story unfolds!! oh but wait, this couple? yeah their time is up, on to the next! like?? Hello? My independently published chloe walsh wouldn’t have made it this short!!!
The whole drowning thing was dropped after like the first few chapters, the bath tub thing was also dropped (which HELLO?? why was that dropped and never talked about again??...more

All in all, I loved it. In S6 i kinda had no notes. And I stand by that. Watching them both grow up from 12 up to 18 years of age was an absolute treat and even though they frustrated me and made me want to scream at them, I loved them and I enjoyed them so so much.
In R6, shit hit the fan, in the most cruel, raw and brutal way. We all knew it was coming, having read Johnny and Shan’s books, but being with Joey through those times? Actually knowing every deep thought?? it was brutal and it HURT. Really really hurt. But honestly? Watching their lives change, watching Johnny arrive and Edel and John?? My heart was soaring, I couldn’t wait for my baby Joey to finally have the parents the guidance, the love he deserved. Joey did the work, he did it and I love him and I’m so damn proud of him and I will always go to war for him. He is MY BABY. He is my Joey and I love him to death.
(it did get slow at the 30-40% mark but meh, still 5 stars✨ )
As for Aoife, she is MY GIRL. It was such a change and she was a fighter through and through. I appreciate soooo much her letting me be with her through these hard times and getting to know her deeply was such an honor. She was real y’all. She was so real and she made the whole thing lighter. She was light. I love her. Please don’t get me wrong, I do love her and I will always root for her and props to her for everything she did and for being a great mom, but Joey is just my boy. I’ve known him longer so I’m sorry but I’m just more connected to him...more

When the Red Wedding type scene happened, it was tough. I suddenly was invested. It was sad. But idk, it was meh lmao. I liked a few action scenes but again, it felt meh.
This being the last book in the series feels like a joke. The last one would’ve been a way better closure. This one kinda messed up everything.
