Told through flashbacks and from multiple POVs, this was a fast-paced story about revenge, sisterhood and strong women willing to do whatever it took to survive in spite of so many toxic men in their lives. Great on audio and a new fav by the author of Confessions of a grammar queen. Highly recommended for fans of authors like Ashley Winstead.

Big-hearted and told with a unique style of wit and charm, Julia is one of those unforgettable characters that will stick with you long after you turn the last page on their story. I loved the great mix of found family and birth family, the messy relationships between her separated parents and her younger half siblings and the way her parents were both supportive but still learning.
Great on audio voiced by Nicky Endres (a new to me narrator) and perfect for fans of authors like Torrey Peters. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy and @prhaudio for a complimentary ALC in exchange for my honest review. The world needs more stories about multi-dimensional, very REAL trans characters and this one was excellent, despite the mixed reviews I've been seeing....more

I loved that this book featured two very relatable and well written queer main characters. Elikki is a fat, short elf with anger and alcohol addiction issues whose magic gets out of control when she loses her temper and Barra is more of a gentle (literal) giant who struggles with anxiety and falling too hard too fast for romantic partners.
Both are somewhat lost and lonely souls and they come together in a beautiful way trying to help each other face their internal demons. Great on audio narrated by Evan Elliot & Sarah McEwan and perfect for fans of books like Tusk love, Behooved or The enchanted greenhouse.

When the two grow closer through chatting online and decide to meet up he discover the 'girl' he thought he knew is actually a boy. Part coming of age/bi-awakening story, part found family, gamer fan fic, this was a cute story with heart that was good redone on audio with a full cast of narrators. Recommended for fans of books like Playing flirty or Roll for romance. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review. There was a lot of misogynistic workplace BS Marisol had to deal with and some family drama but she gave off such great Elle Woods vibes and I was totally here for it. Great on audio, this is a new fav by Elle Gonzalez Rose and a great read for Pride Month.

I loved the sexual tension between the two male leads, the way their very different backgrounds both bonded and separated them and how they explored their feelings through lots of open communication until inevitably the royal secret gets out of the bag. Any book about motherhood is an automatic add for me and this one about three young single mothers bonding in a small Florida town grabbed me right from the start.
Told from alternating perspectives we get to know Adela, Emory and Simone as they navigate motherhood, pregnancy, familial expectations, romantic love, female friendship and their own personal dreams. I loved how interconnected their lives and relationships became and the varied experiences we get to see through the three girls very different situations.
It was fantastic on audio narrated by a full cast and tackles tough topics from racism, abortion, unrequited love and more. Highly recommended especially for fans of books like All the mothers by Domenica Ruta. Many thanks to @prhaudio for a complimentary ALC in exchange for my honest review!!...more

There's lots of shenanigans along the way, flashbacks to past interactions between Amelia and Walter and some new revelations about her feelings for her newly single best friend. Lighthearted, sweet, good on audio with some Jewish rep thrown in, sibling relationships and a great queer friend group.
Recommended for fans of authors like Sophie Gonzales or Dahlia Adler. While I didn't like this one as much as Imogen, obviously mainly because the romance was more of a backburner part of the story, it was still an enjoyable read/listen. This was a rollercoaster M/M F1 racing romance that has two racers looking back on their relationship when one crashes and lands in a coma. Full of all the emotions, I couldn't get enough of this dual POV sports romance told through flashbacks that has one closeted bisexual driver recovering after his crash, dealing with homophobic parents and trying to win back his ex AND get back into the driver's seat.
HIGHLY recommended for fans of books like Pole Position by Rebecca J. Caffery and Heated rivalry by Rachel Reid or Sarina Bowen's Hockey guys series. I thought Canadian author Amy James' sophomore romance was even stronger than her debut and really enjoyed the spotlight on how difficult it can be to be out in professional sports! It was also excellent on audio narrated by Gary Furlong and Patrick Zeller. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!...more

Told through flashbacks between the past and present, we get to see how Lauren fell in love with her husband (her brother's best friend) and how she's struggling to move on in the present while being a single mother and newly single woman.
When her movie star brother invites Lauren to visit him on the set of his latest film she ends up falling for Ben, a bisexual Irish-Hawaiian actor ten years her junior. Full of great mental health rep (depression, alcohol addiction, grief) and amazing chemistry between the two leads, this story is both moving, life-affirming and spicy.
