This was a sweet, big-hearted second chance romance set on a struggling family Christmas tree farm that has two fellow high school friends reunited for the season as they bond over the holidays and work to help save the tree farm. Cute, funny and charming like all of Walsh's novels always are. I liked it on audio and would love to see a spin off featuring the MMC's sister....more

Full of holiday hijinks, this kept me giggling and was good on audio. It's also perfect for fans of authors like Catherine Walsh or Leah Brunner. Set in the Toronto Titans hockey universe, this can be read as a standalone but has some cameos from other players on the team....more

Full of laughs and heart and based on the author's family history, this had me smiling and cheering for the two MCs to get their HEA. I especially loved the rescue dog, the free range pigs and the ICW sailing trip.
I wasn't a huge fan of the male narrator though, he tended to wisper/mumble any inner monologue/thoughts which made for an uneven listening experience. For that reason I would recommend reading a print copy of this one and highly recommend it for fans of books like Float Plan by Trish Doller.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review. This is the author's first trad published book but there were some fun cameos from past Appies Hockey team players so fans of her indie works will delight in those Easter eggs!...more

I really enjoyed the steamy banter between the MCs, the small town vibes, all the library talk and the emotional depth and humor the author brought to the story. It was also good on audio and I can't wait to see what's next in this new Indie romance series set in Wilks Beach Virginia.

I loved the relationship between baseball pitcher Emmett and his daughter June and the woman he hires to be June's nanny, Hazel. Hazel has a lot to deal with as she takes on more and more of her younger sister, Raven's care as their parents aren't well enough to look after her themselves. Emmett can't help falling for Hazel as she becomes such an integral part of his life and has the biggest place in her heart for his daughter. Sweet, swoony and good on audio! I love a good he falls first, dual POV romance and this one was exactly that. Add in a divorced baker FMC with PCOS and infertility and a rom-com loving French Canadian adopted goalie and I was a goner. Farrah and Bruce were easy to cheer for and while this can be read as a standalone, there were also some fun cameos with past characters in the series. This was great on audio, had tons of heart and humor and is highly recommended for fans of other hockey sports romcoms like Gigi Blume's Toronto Titan's series. This was a fun Beauty & the Beast retelling featuring Adam Stone, a partially blind, reclusive and grumpy actor stuck with Isabelle, an aspiring actress at his family estate where she's come to audition for a role only for them to get snowed in together. I liked the audiobook version and the disability rep. I don' think it was quite my fav of the series so far but I'm looking forward to the Rapunzel retelling next! This had a mistaken identity element but lots of cute puppy interactions and an element of grief over the loss of a parent to breast cancer. This was a sweet, friends to lovers, dual POV, he falls first romance set in the Only Magic in the Building series and the town of Serendipity Falls. I loved that Sophie finally got her 'main character' moment and was rooting for her and her bestie, Peter from the get go. There's a fun element involving a magic 'love flower' that only blooms in the presence of couples who are meant to be but there's also a realistic foil that has both Sophie and Peter making a choice to take a chance on a love together even at the risk of their friendship. Swoony and a quick read, this had some recurring characters but can be read as a standalone too.
