I was looking forward to this one....romantic suspense, a cocky lawyer, a bad boy, plus menage?! Count me in!

But this was one of those books where I was totally invested, enjoying things for the most part, and then BAM the ending killed it for me :(
A.C.H.E. is told from 3 POVs.....Everly, Alec, and Tage. The prologue gives us the backstory of Everly when she was 16 and her relationship with Tage. Then Chapter 1 is present day, 8 years later where she works at a law firm with Alec. Halfway through I had a lot of questions still and a little unsure of who I should be pulling for.
But fear not because we enter hot menage status! Yeah, it was a weird, quick jump to that decision but I was looking forward to it so let's go with it.

Moving on...I was totally enjoying the suspense with her mom situation, a little anxious about where it was all going.
Then I get to the end ready to feel all complete and BAM! No, no, no. I was totally invested until the ending. It ruined it for me. I felt like the circle was starting all over again and I had no closure or sweet, happy feelings.

Maybe there's going to be a follow-up book to this one? If this story continues then I could see bumping it up a star but for now, I'm just going to sit over here feeling a little let down.

I also thought that I would probably download a baseball book following this one so I could read something focused on the sport. But no need to, because this book is 110% a sports romance about baseball. Maybe even too much so for my taste.
I felt the story was more focused on the season than their relationship development and conversations.
It was definitely hot and kept me reading. Don't miss the bonus epilogue from the newsletter signup. Loved how it packaged everything up nicely and showed a glimpse farther into the future. ...more

Caleb with his sensitive, caring side and Ben with his brooding bossiness. This was mostly MFM though a touch MMF based on Caleb and Ben's closeness and a kiss that takes place.
I struggle with any story that's insta-love and this 100% one of those instances. The story felt rushed and like I didn't get much of a glimpse into the growth of their relationship, the feelings outside of lust. I also wish Ireland could have overcome her insecurities sooner so it wasn't still a forefront issue at the end of the book.
All in all a good book and totally worth picking up if you're looking for a hot read....more
I love Nikki's writing and this series. It's a perfect blend of hot erotica + good storyline to back up all the sex. Plus, she writes the best menage I love Nikki's writing and this series. Ruby and Kyle are lawyers that dated in school. Kyle moved away but now he's back and they're given a second chance. Forgiving and forgetting is harder than it seems though. It was fun to watch them learn their D/s roles and build that trust and relationship.
Wish there was an epilogue to see how things continued to play out. ...more
