It turned out that i loved the MM relationship more than the MMF. Weirdly.
The problem was, i was so enthralled by the beta-hero's POV in this book, that i just couldn't get into the second book; told from the heroines POV. And i found their non-intimate, relationship building moments in the second book less than entertaining. Definitely interesting if you know about politics, and i admired that the author knew her sh*t.
I really wish that it was a quite long standalone, all beta-hero....more

Lex & Oli butt heads like crazy, she HATES him and he absolutely loves that hate. He loves her backbone and her feistyness, he's dying to have it in the bedroom. Oli can't help herself, she loves to hate Lex. He's entitled, he's an asshole, and he's hot.
If you've ever read and liked any of C. M. Stunich's books, then you'll know that they are OTT and funny, with extremely bold characters. 'Taming Her Boss' does not disappoint.
I loved Stunich's take on a BDSM billionaire romance. It made fun out of it's predecessors, it had running jokes, crazy families and clashing lead characters.
Vanilla is a realistic tale of a woman's struggles with her love life. The grief of her past love, the troubles with her current lover, and the possibilities of her future partner.
While I wasn't enthralled or in love with the book, it was a very good read. There were no stereotypes, plenty of depth, some wit, some hotness and some great side characters. No OTT drama but enough to make you feel. It was well written, not a lot of romance but it had a very admirable and interesting heroine which pulled the book through.
Worth a read when you're feeling fed up of the same old NA romance tropes.
3 stars for an interesting MFM read with powerplay, Dom/Domme/sub.

Vicki – Ex-lawyer turned designer, left her career when one of her clients killed her Elias' partner. Befriended Jesse and left him when she was embarrassed by her breakdown in front of him.
Elias – A Cop who does nothing but work. Stopped sleeping with Vicki when his partner died. Elias and Vicki would enjoy rough sex.
Jesse – Homeless man with a horrid past. Fell in love with Vicki when she used to visit him at the park. Would happily do anything for her.
I quite enjoyed this one – and though impossible - I can't help the feeling that wish the story was a little more catered to my tastes.
My dislikes There's a love-triangle feel. By the end of the book, it seemed as if Elias felt like he just had to 'put up with' sharing Vicki with Jesse instead of enjoying it and embracing it. The whole fashion storyline. It didn't interest me and I didn't see the point of it- other to introduce the characters featured in other books. Too much time spent pondering how the characters would work together in an MFM relationship and not enough time seeing the trio together in said relationship.
My likes The characters, and their sexual appetites were fun and interesting. Good dialogue. It truly had good characters dynamics. Jesse was one of the best male subs I’ve read about....more

There's a handful of errors. It tagged on Goodreads as 'Dark' when it's not, it is gritty though. It was anti-climatic. Failed to reach needed suspense levels.
I liked both of the lead characters. The hero was a lovely mix of tough guy, sweet guy and kinda daft (Shhh, I know, but it worked and I liked it!) I loved the sex scenes. Domme-sub, her regaining her power and him accepting his submissiveness. The characters 'pasts' were interesting and worked well with the people that they became.
It was a quick read at approx 169 kindle pages. Not my fave Skye Warren book and definitely a little different for her. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't read it again....more

Loving and caring Dom, Lucian, is determined to tear down Tara's walls. Tara is bossy, feisty and Lucian just loves how challenging she can be. But Tara sees her relationship with Lucian as nothing but a game, she's willing to go too far to become the Ultimate Dom.
'Round Two' feels more Big Brother-ish and it's not as fun as the last book. The challenges are different, they are about their knowledge of one another and how much trust they have in one another. I loved Dom/sub switching in this book and I’m really enjoying the series, the characters are fresh.
Only problem is, is the ridiculous price. Book 1 is currently £1.02/$1.71, and 2 and 3 are £3.08/$5.17 each! Not so bad if they were full length, but at approx 80-100 kindle pages each, and 6 books in the series... well, can I say rip off?...more

I've read 3 Domme books so far. This is probably the best. It's a short sweet read about a Domme and a sub training for a public scene at a kink club for a week, they are perfect together, but the Domme is still grieving for her husband. I probably liked this one more because of the roles and desires they played in the bedroom, she wasn't all 'i'm gonna whip you but lick my boots first'. It was sweet and romantic....more

BLURB: Seven has spent most of her life believing she is worthless and will never be loved by anyone. Spending the beginning of her sexual life with Star and entangled in a vanilla relationship with Daniel, who left her for his wife. Now her and Star have an open relationship as well has multiple ménages together and apart. Preferring to be on top when it comes to her regular D/s one night stands that begin at a kink club. There she meets Levi, a hot submissive with a preference for anal. Levi provokes unwelcome and unknown feelings within Seven.
Seven is crude, bossy and arrogant, also intelligent and highly professional, as well as smoking hot, vulnerable and broken. Levi is sweet, hot, lovable and faithful, totally adores Seven too.
The sex scenes were hot, there was lots of drama, never left you bored and i loved Levi.... There's a few grammar errors. Nothing too distracting, but noticeable. F/F isn't for everyone, majority of contemporary erotic-romance readers either can't relate or aren't a fan and neither am I, it usually puts me off buying a book, but there's only a couple of short F/F scenes. The D/s power-play was short lived and not really by the book. Sometimes it felt a little cheesy; ”Oh, yes! Right there big boy.” All of the characters were banging each other and Seven was quite full on. I think I would have liked it more if it played on the power-play of the Domme and sub as she quickly slipped from being on top to level with Levi (and for a bloke who loves anal, Levi only had it once). It was a little OTT for me....more

Liv has been watching and learning all about god-loving college linebacker, 21 year old Joshua, for weeks. He's self-assured, strong, capable, sheltered and most importantly innocent.
“I am a deliverer. I deliver the strikes that enforce your obedience.” “I deliver the sexual training that justifies your purchase price.” “In ten weeks, I will deliver you to be sold.”

Josh didn't see her trickery and followed Liv like a siren until he finds himself trapped in a building in the middle of nowhere with 'a demon in the form of the most beautiful girl on earth' and her partner in crime, a manipulative prick who goes by the name Van.
Van is twisted, Liv can't love him or hate him. He can be protective, sweet and kind, but also tormented, cruel and abusive.
'It wasn't until she'd met him that she'd understood the meaning of coerced consent.'
Unfortunately, Josh isn't like the other slaves, he 'doesn't fit the hostage mold' and can't be trained the same way, or maybe not at all. He looks for the best in people and has a hopeful heart. He's trusting, charming, confident, brave and patient.
'He represented purity, beauty, family, all of the things that had been taken from her. He was a glimmer of goodness in her dark fucking world, a warm spark she could hold, if only for a fleeting span of time.'
Liv's training turns Josh's world upside down, his faith in humanity and his emotions are tested, he's becoming stubborn, fierce and determined. He's fallen into hatred, jealousy and violence. And he wants to save Livs soul.
'He flailed between hating her, wanting her, fighting her, and praying for her. And through it all was the incessant urge to screw her.'
I could write so much more on this book, there's a lot in it, but I don't want to make my review too long or spoilerish.
I'm a total sucker for; role reversal romances, dark books with more imagination than others, virgin males, kick-ass females, gritty romances, love/hate and a good domme/sub story. 'Deliver' mixed a load of my favourite themes and would be a re-read. So this book is a 5 star read for me, but it might be less for other readers.
I have to say, I loved the characters, there was plenty of depth to them. Josh was a pretty wonderful human being. Liv turned out awesome in her own way, she was very brave, strong and clever. I actually kind of liked Van too, or maybe it was more that I felt sorry for him despite his twisted ways.
I liked how their relationship progressed and turned around. Though the time frame for it was short in the actual book days, it didn't feel like it to me because of the amount of pages that I went past. (view spoiler)[Liv and Josh's relationship went from; captor and captive, to; almost equals with Domme/sub sex. I understood this to be the fact that she's been almost in love with him since she chose him. His time as a captive has moved slowly with nothing but her in it, and he's probably suffering stockholm syndrome. Also he's always gotten turned on by physical exertion and some pain and she does that for him. (hide spoiler)]
Pam Godwin's writing was intelligent, intricate and creative and so was the storyline, it turned out very unique. It also is written very erotically at times. I thought the revelations were fantastic, I didn't predict any of it which was pretty awesome for me. It got it dark and twisted enough to pack a punch.
'He stretched out his arms, savoring the cool breeze brushing over his unrestrained skin. “I stand here without rope or chains, Liv, tethered to you by my own will.” His blood beat with the ferocity of his words. “I won't be free until you are.”'
