Supports only Zoom meetings currently

Fathom is designed exclusively for Zoom, which limits its flexibility for organizations that use other platforms like Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. This means users who rely on different conferencing tools cannot fully benefit from its features unless they switch to Zoom.

Weak support for the Arabic language

While Fathom performs excellently in English, its transcription and summarization accuracy in Arabic is still limited. It may struggle with Arabic names, dialects, or technical terms, resulting in incomplete or inaccurate summaries for Arabic-speaking users.

The only small downside I’ve noticed is with Google Meet—the integrated Chrome app sometimes takes up space on my meeting bar, making my microphone button disappear. I would really appreciate it if Fathom could take up less space on the Zoom screen. Right now, it feels like having an extra participant in the meeting, which makes it harder to see the other people on the call. Ideally, there could just be a small banner at the top for everyone to acknowledge the recording, and then it would disappear once everyone has done so. That would be much better. Fathom is amazing for keeping administrative notes for calls with clients or teammates. I use my meeting notes to recap previous conversations with clients, and to hold both myself and them accountable on things we discussed last time, so this is a major help having meeting recordings, key takeaways, and action items generated by Fathom. I've used it for 100% of my admin notes since getting the tool, which opens up probably an hour of time per day for other tasks. This tool is extremely user-friendly, from its quick and straightforward setup to the minimal steps required for use. It eliminates the hassle I would normally expect from a process that could easily become overwhelming. As I'm currently going through a lot of onboarding at my new job, it allows me to stay focused during meetings without the stress of trying to remember every detail. After 25 years of recruitment and having used little more than a pen, paper and phone I started my own business and came across Fathom on a client meeting.

Exactly what I have always needed. You come off a Teams/ Zoom with loads of scribbled notes and weren't really listening to what was being said, the notes are written so badly you then can't read them. Or, you listen intently and make no notes then after the call you have forgotten 95% of what was said.

Fathom solves both of these problems and gives me a summary I can then save on my CRM.

It automatically joins my Teams meetings and sends the person I am speaking with a pre-warning that an AI notetaker is being used.
