Project-Based Learning Reflection

Class in which you did the project:
Photography/Culinary
Brief project description:
A project to help in collaboration and bringing the community together

Your role for the project:

I was one of the students in the group called culinary experts

What did you do, personally, to contribute to the overall project? Be specific!
What I did was help brainstorm with my group and make suggestions for what we can do food
wise for the event.

What did you learn about yourself in terms of time management, personal responsibility,
problem-solving, collaboration, or other soft skills via this project?
That it was hard to get full involvement for the whole project. The culinary experts didn’t get as
much light as I would've enjoyed. I hope I could contribute more in a project like this next time.

If you had an industry expert or mentor who assisted with this project, what are some
things that you learned from this person?
I would have wanted to learn culinary/learned culinary skills and putting together a menu in a
way that you can provide for and still working efficiently.

How has this experience helped prepare you for college or careers beyond high school?
I’m not very sure but it did help me to learn how to work inside of another group environment
different from anyone i’ve done before. And since I want to pursue in a culinary career I feel as
if this did help me with problem solving and decision making with a group since it would be
harder for a group to come to an agreement.
