Author: Yulia Myzina

ABBREVIATIONS:
КА – magic ring (amigurumi ring);
ВП – chain stitch (ch);
сбн – single crochet (sc);
пр – increase (inc);
уб – decrease (dec);
сс – slip stitch (sl st);
ППП – front loop only (FLO);
ЗПП – back loop only (BLO).

MATERIALS for the BODY: Hook 0.75 mm. / size about 23 cm tall

HANDS
RIGHT HAND:
We start with the fingers. They are crocheted one after another without
cutting the yarn.
We crochet the foundation chains for fingers into the back/middle loop of
the chain. Turn the chain so the back side faces you – there you will see the
loops to work into (see picture below). A full video of crocheting the palm can
be viewed here → [Yandex link].

P.S. On some phones the link may not work. To open it, use a computer or
copy–paste the link into your browser’s address bar (not Chrome, since its
combined bar may treat it as a search). If these methods don’t work, write to
me and I’ll send the link.

 Little finger: ch 5, along the chain in the middle loop: (sl st, 3 sc).

 Ring finger: ch 6, along the chain in the middle loop: (sl st, 4 sc).

 Middle finger: ch 6, along the chain in the middle loop: (sl st, 4 sc).

 Index finger: ch 6, along the chain in the middle loop: (sl st, 4 sc).

1. Across the tops of the fingers: (sc, 2 inc, sc), along the other side of the
fingers: (sc, 2 inc, sc). (12) – place marker.

⚠️Attention! From here on, we crochet in the front loops only (FLO). The
entire doll will be crocheted this way. This prevents stitches from slanting
sideways, keeps the marker line vertical, and makes the crochet look neater.

2. 12 sc (12)

3. sc, (ch 6, along chain: sl st, 4 sc), 11 sc (12)

4. sc, 2 sc into thumb, 11 sc (14)

5. 3 sc together (common top), 3 dec, 5 sc (9)

6–9) 9 sc (9)

Cut 13 cm wire. Bend one end 0.5 cm. Wrap plaster halfway up from bent
end. Insert into palm. Add a little stuffing in the top of palm. Continue:

10. 4 sc, inc, 4 sc (10)

11–13) 10 sc (10)
14. 5 sc, inc, 4 sc (11)

15–17) 11 sc (11) – stuff forearm

18. dec, 3 sc, dec, 4 sc (9)

19–30) 9 sc (9)

31. 2 sc, sl st, cut yarn – round should finish at mid-armpit; shoulder
part of arm does not need stuffing.

LEFT HAND:

 Index finger: ch 6, along chain: (sl st, 4 sc)

 Middle finger: ch 6, along chain: (sl st, 4 sc)

 Ring finger: ch 6, along chain: (sl st, 4 sc)

 Little finger: ch 5, along chain: (sl st, 3 sc)

1. Across the tops of the fingers: (sc, 2 inc, sc), along the other side: (sc,
2 inc, sc). (12) – place marker

2. 12 sc (12)

3. 5 sc, (ch 6, sl st + 4 sc), 7 sc (12)

4. 5 sc, 2 sc in thumb, 6 sc (14) – place marker at end of round

5. 3 dec, 3 sc together, 5 sc (9)

6–9) 9 sc (9) – insert wire as with right hand

10. 8 sc, inc (10)

11–13) 10 sc (10)

14. 9 sc, inc (11)

15–17) 11 sc (11) – stuff forearm

18. 3 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec (9)

19–30) 9 sc (9)

31. 2 sc, sl st, round ends mid-armpit.

To give fingers proper position/shape, you can coat them with PVA glue and
pinch each finger gently with tweezers or round-nose pliers so they become
thinner and neater.

LEGS

LEFT LEG:
Legs are also crocheted with toes, by analogy with fingers of hands:

1st toe: ch 3, 2 sc into back of chain, ch 1.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th toes: ch 3, 2 sl st into back of chain.

The first row of the foot is crocheted like the first row of the palm (don’t
forget we always crochet in FLO):

1. Across tops of toes: (4 sc, sc in ch between small toes and big toe, inc
in big toe), across other side: (inc in big toe, sc in ch between small
toes and big toe, 4 sc). (14) – place marker.

On the left diagram, blue shows stitches of first half of round; second half is
crocheted same way as with hand.

2. 14 sc (14)

3. 3 sc, dec, 9 sc (13)

4. 13 sc (13)

5. 2 sc, dec, 9 sc (12)

6. 2 sc, (ch 4, down chain: inc, 2 sc), 10 sc (16)

Toes are made in mirror order:

 Toes 1–4: ch 3, 2 sl st into back of chain.

 5th toe: ch 4, 2 sc into back of chain.

1. Across tops: (inc in big toe, sc in ch between toes, 4 sc), other side: (4

43. 17 sc (17) – stuff thigh

44. 3 sc, ch 4 – round ends mid-thigh, slightly toward the back,

aligned with left leg.

⚠️Do not cut yarn! Continue from right leg directly into torso.

TORSO

From right leg we crochet the first row (remember: always crochet in FLO so
rows stay even):

1. 13 sc on left leg, 4 inc, 4 sc along chain, 4 inc, 13 sc on right leg, 4 sc

along front chain. (50)

2. 22 sc, dec, 26 sc (49)

In the next row we will attach the arms. Crochet the given stitches of the
arms starting from their middle (where you cut the yarn earlier).

28. 9 sc, along left arm: (3 sc, dec, 4 sc), 20 sc, along right arm: (4
sc, dec, 3 sc), 12 sc (57)

Secure wires from arms to the central body wire with plaster, about 2 cm
high. Cut extra wires, leave only one longest wire.

29. 12 sc, dec, 26 sc, dec, 15 sc (55)

30. 11 sc, dec, 26 sc, dec, 14 sc (53)

38. 4 sc, dec, 7 sc (12)

39–42) 12 sc (12) – stuff neck

43. 6 dec (6) – cut yarn (last row should end above plaster and cut
wires).

HEAD

Leave a 15 cm yarn tail at start (used later for nose).

Reminder: crochet always in FLO, wrong side out.

1. 6 sc in MR (6)

2. 6 inc (12)
3–5) 12 sc (12)

(These rows are neck base; later push them inside the head so the neck fits.)

6. FLO: sc, 11 inc (23)

7. 4 sc, (inc, sc)×4, 3 sc in one st, (sc, inc)×4, 2 sc (33)

8. 7 sc, (inc, 2 sc)×3, 3 sc, (2 sc, inc)×3, 5 sc (39)

Next row we crochet the nose, using that starting yarn tail.

13. sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 21 sc, attach nose yarn: (nose: ch 3, sc, ch 3, sl
st), sc into same st where attached yarn, (nose: 3 sc in chain, 3 sc in
one st, 3 sc in chain), sc into sl st, 20 sc (63).

14. 2 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 10 sc, 2 dec, 3 sc, over nose: (3 sc
together, 3 sc, 3 sc together), 3 sc, 2 dec, 10 sc, inc, 3 sc (63)

34. (dec, 3 sc)×6 (24)

35. (dec, 2 sc)×6 (18)

36. (dec, sc)×6 (12) – stuff crown tightly

37. 6 dec (6) – cut yarn, close hole.

Ears

8 sc in MR, turn. (8)

3 sc, 4 inc, sl st. (12) — cut yarn, leave tail.

Count 14 sts from nose center: sew ears 13 sts right and left.

Wig base (cap):

Use flesh-colored yarn (for scalp realism) or yellow right away.

1. 6 sc in MR, sl st, ch 1 (6)

2. BLO: 6 inc, sl st, ch 1 (12)

3. BLO: (inc, sc)×6, sl st, ch 1 (18)

4. (inc, 2 sc)×6, sl st, ch 1 (24)

11. BLO: (inc, 8 sc)×6, sl st, ch 1 (60)

12. 60 sc, sl st, ch 1 (60)

13. BLO: 60 sc, sl st, ch 1 (60)

14. (inc, 9 sc)×6, sl st, ch 1 (66)

15. BLO: 66 sc, sl st, ch 1 (66)

16. 66 sc, sl st (66)

✂️Cut flesh yarn, join yellow. First row of hair is crocheted along lower edge
of cap:
(pr strand: ch 10, 9 sc back down), then 3 sl st across cap. Repeat to end.

Subsequent rows: crochet hair into BLOs left from cap. To avoid cutting yarn
each row, ch 2 to climb to next row. Work upward filling cap with strands. For
final rows, make denser: 2 sl st between strands instead of 3.
Head & Face

Mouth

Use Pekhorka Azhurnaya, color #21. Crochet with the right side
outward, in the round:

1. 6 sc in MR, sl st, ch 1. (6)

2. 6 inc, sl st, ch 1. (12)

3. (inc, sc) ×6, sl st, ch 1. (18)

4. (inc, 2 sc) ×6, sl st, ch 1. (24)

5. 24 sc, sl st, ch 1. (24)

6. 24 sc, sl st in BLO, ch 1. (24)

7. 4 sc BLO, 4 sc, 3 sc BLO, 2 sc, 3 sc BLO, 4 sc, 4 sc BLO. (24) — Cut

yarn, secure end.

👉 The lower row of teeth is based on the 8 BLO stitches (4 at start + 4

at end of R7).

 Attach white yarn to outermost BLO under R7.

 Crochet lower teeth: ch 1, then (sl st, ch 1) ×6, sl st. Cut yarn, secure.

Upper Teeth
 Cut 25–30 cm of white yarn.

 Attach it 4 sts left from end of lower teeth row (BLO under R7).

Crochet upper teeth:

 ch 1, sl st in same st,

 next BLO: (sc, sl st),

 next BLO: (sc, ch 1, sl st).

 Pull yarn to inside of mouth, skip 2 sts, bring out again at next 3 BLO.

 Work: (sl st, ch 1, sc), (sl st, sc), (sl st, ch 1, sl st).

Turn mouth inside out so teeth point inward. Pull yarn tails outside, glue
them down.

👉 If you want a wider gap: only 2 teeth per side (instead of 3).
👉 For a full row of teeth: in R7 replace “2 sc” with “2 sc BLO.”

Starting the Head

Cut two spare yarn pieces: 40 cm, and 15 cm. You’ll need them later (for
nose and lips).

Crochet with wrong side outward, in spiral:

1. 5 sc in MR. (5) — don’t close MR too tightly. Place marker.

2. 5 inc. (10)

3. (inc, sc) ×5. (15)

4. (inc, 2 sc) ×5. (20)

5–6) 20 sc. (20)

5. In FLO: 5 sc, 5 inc, 3 sc in one st, 5 inc, 4 sc. (32)

6. 5 sc, (inc, 2 sc) ×3, 2 sc, 3 sc in one st, 2 sc, (2 sc, inc) ×3, 4 sc. (40)

7. 5 sc, (inc, 3 sc) ×3, 7 sc, (3 sc, inc) ×3, 4 sc. (46)

8. 5 sc, (inc, 4 sc) ×3, 7 sc, (4 sc, inc) ×3, 4 sc. (52)

9. inc, sc, inc, 47 sc, inc, sc. (55)

10. 27 sc, 2 dec, 24 sc. (53)

Inserting the Mouth

From next row we crochet the mouth into the head.

👉 Catch: front loop of mouth + both loops of head (like in the photo).
👉 The 8 stitches for mouth in R13 correspond exactly to 8 teeth of lower
row.

13. sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 19 sc, with mouth: (2 sc, 4 inc, 2 sc), 19 sc, inc,
sc. (60)

14. 25 sc, skip 1, sl st into FLO of mouth, ch 16 (chain goes behind

mouth, continue on left side), sl st in FLO of mouth, skip 1, 21 sc. (46)

15. 4 sc, inc, 19 sc, skip 1, sl st into FLO of mouth, ch 18 (behind

mouth, continue left side), sl st in FLO of mouth, skip 1, 19 sc, inc. (46)

16. 5 sc, inc, 12 sc, inc, 5 sc, skip 1, sl st in FLO of mouth, ch 18

(behind mouth), sl st in FLO, skip 1, 5 sc, inc, 12 sc, inc, sc. (48)

17. 7 sc, inc, 18 sc, 10 inc into FLO of mouth, 18 sc, inc, 3 sc. (70)

18. 8 sc, inc, 19 sc, 9 dec, 19 sc, inc, 4 sc. (63)

👉 At this stage, apply glue (PVA, thick type) inside & outside of mouth,
jawline, base of head. Also crochet upper lip:

 With spare 40 cm yarn, attach at top edge of mouth.

 Work sl st along row 17 of mouth (into vertical posts).

 Work approx. 14 sl sts (skip some posts to prevent puckering).

 This shapes the upper lip.

Let glue dry with teeth closed, so mouth stays shut and teeth line up.

Nose

Prepare the 15 cm yarn.

19. 32 sc. In next st attach extra yarn: ch 3, sc in next st, ch 3, sl st

in next st, ch 1 (to fix yarn). Leave end inside. Return to main yarn: sc
into same st, 3 sc into chain, 3 sc in one st, 3 sc into other chain, sc in
sl st, 28 sc. (71)
20. 25 sc, 3 dec, 2 sc, (3 sc together, 3 sc, 3 sc together), 2 sc, 3
dec, 21 sc. (61) — decreases form nose.

Continue Head Shaping
