BIOGRAPHY
He won Chicago via Saint Louis in 1959 and quickly established himself as an original and modern guitarist. He managed to shoot with Hank Ballard and Bobby Bland, recording behind many artists like Lee Shot Williams, Jesse Anderson, Eddy Clearwater, Freddy King, and many others while engraving a handful of 45t under his name.
After an excellent album recorded live by Marcelle Morgantini in 1975 and another session in 1977 with Jimmy Tillman (apparently only sold for a short time as a K7 at Tillman's concerts), Bobby had to shoot in Europe and Asia when a violent altercation at Club Louise left him deeply handicapped, preventing him from playing the guitar. He died as a result of his injuries on July 22, 1983.
