WILD ABOUT NOTHING
WIDE
1991 Not On Label
Notes :
Wild About Nothing were a baggy-sounding indie band from Waterloo in South London around 1991. A four-piece band, they featured Scott (vocals and guitar), Andy (bass and backing vocals), Nick (drums and backing vocals) and Andy (guitar).
They only released one record, a one-sided 12'' of their song - Wide. Also they did interview for The Marmite Roll fanzine in 1991. It's really hard to find any info on the net so i've asked fanzine owner to tell me more about this obscure baggy band :
''They were a nice bunch of lads, quite lary and loud though. I remember they liked Flowered Up, which I think Wide is not too far from. Never saw them play live, but I remember that I interviewed them in their local pub, The Shipwright Arms, in Tooley St, London Bridge. The white label record came in a plain white sleeve, but it did have a corner sticker on it, which said something like 'Wild About Nothing, live in '91'. It wasn't on a label as such as it was self-produced ''
Really great song, if you are fan of early 90's indie & baggy music, must have this record in your collection.
