Hello Friend

 Hello Friends!!

I have a fun little card I created for Link Up For Pink!

I saw this design in one of my magazines and loved the way one side of the card follows the outline of the birdhouse. I used my Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge to cut out the birdhouse and my Home Decor Cartridge to cut out the blue bird.

I fussy cut one of the clouds out of the patterned paper, inked the edges and used Pop Dots to attach it on top of the cloud background paper.

The sentiment is from a Family & friends Word Stamp Kit. I fussy cut those and used pop dots on them as well.

Supplies used: card stock - white, 2 shades of blue, pink, brown; patterned papers - scraps from My Minds Eye and Howdy from Everyday by American Crafts; Home Decor and Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridges; Family & Friends Word Stamp Kit by Words & Crafts; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento and Ice Blue Chalk Ink by ColorBox; pearls - Kaiser Craft; Pop Dots.

Home Decor and More Blog Hop

Welcome to the Home Decor & More blog hop!

This is a 2 day event, so be sure and join us both days for even more projects! Our host is Cicily the Pink Dalmatian Scrapbooker. If you came from Becka at Creations With Becka then you're in the right spot.
If you want to start from the beginner than head on over to our host Cicily at Pink Dalmation Scrapper and hop your way thru some amazing home decor. The Pink Dalmatian is giving away blog candy, you can see all the details on her post. Some of the other hoppers may be giving away candy to so be sure & check them out.

We all have drawers, closets & possibly rooms full of scrapbooking supplies. Those beautiful, colorful supplies don't have to be limited to our pages. We hope to inspire you to use your supplies in Home Decor projects that add that special touch to our homes.  I have come up with two different menu boards that would be a great addition to any kitchen.

Today I'd like to share a menu board I made for my sister. Her favorite color is purple so I had to add some touches of purple to it.

The menu board itself is Kaisercraft Beyond The Page: Recipe Stand. I painted it first with multi-medium in matte by Studio. After it dried I covered it in antique linen Distress crackle paint by Tim Holtz for Ranger. For a final touch before adding my paper I sprayed it with Walnut Ink Antiquing Solution by Tsukineko, wiping immediatly with a clean, soft cloth. After it dried I Modge Podged on Fresh from The Vine paper in the What's Cooking Collection by Flair, along with the "menu" title which is a Silhouette Studio Cut File.

I added some brown pearls by Kaiser Craft to the flourishes of the menu board. The 3D flowers are a Silhouette Studio cut file that I added some rhinestones by Kaiser Craft to.

More flower cut files from Silhouette Studio and rhinestones by Kaiser Craft. The cork is a piece of sticky backed cork scrapbook paper from my stash. I glued a small purple clip to the cork board with some E6000 glue.

The butterfly was fussy cut from some Mariposas paper by Stampington & Company. I glued only the body down so that the wings would fold upto give it a more 3D look..

Thanks for stopping & looking at my Home Decor project, be sure & stop again tomorrow for my second Decor item.
