Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Well we are into October already!

At my house it's time to put out the Halloween decor, and boy do I have a lot of it.
My granddaughter asked me if she could come and help me decorate, so her and I went to town. We had a lot of fun together and got a good portion of it done. A few minor things to still do indoors and then outdoor decor. Hubby has to help with that though.

It's challenge time again.

Our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas this week is a sketch.

.

I received a Halloween card kit in the mail from Simon Says Stamp and I used elements from it to create my card.

The cute little Boo Ghost is a die that came inside the kit, along with cute papers from Pebbles.

Supplies used: cardstock -white, orange, grey, black; pattern papers by Pebbles, Die from Simon Says Stamp.

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Keep Shining Bright

Just popping in on this Saturday afternoon to share a card I created for the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches

For my card I decided to play with elements from the August Simon Says Stamp card kit.

I choose the giant polka dot paper, I thought it was so fun! I matted it in blue card stock and added a gold star that I cut out with the die included in the kit.

The sentiment is from the stamp set included in the kit and I stamped it with Versamark and used Blue embossing powder. I added a twine bow with some gold and white twine I purchase through Pick Your Plumb.

Supplies used: card stock - white, blue; patterned paper by Pebbles; die by Simon Says Stamp; gold paper by Bazill; stamp by Simon Says Stamp; twine - Pick Your Plumb; Versamark stamp pad; embossing powder from my stash: Pop Dots.

Thanks for stopping by!

First Day of School

Today I am sharing a layout of my grandson Jeff's first day of Kindergarten!

He was so excited to be starting school and you can just see it in his face. His sister was so upset that she couldn't go with him. She had her backpack on and was sure she would be able to go to school too.
It was hard for her to understand that she had to wait two more years.

I "cased" a layout I saw on Pinterest by Susan Goetter. I used some old papers by Pebbles, that I have had for many years, but still love. I did a little stitching around the edge, in yellow, to highlight the yellow in Jeff's sign he is holding.

Supplies used: card stock - recycled white, black, yellow; patterned papers - School Words, School Dots, School Dot/Line all by Pebbles and a scrap from my stash; Bazzill stitching template; DMC floss #444; star punch - EK Success; chipboard - Appleton by Scenic Route; stickers - Pebbles and American Traditional Designs

Wishing Away Your Cloudy Day / CTO #111

Today is the last day of April and tomorrow is the first of May, which made me think of the saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers" and that was my inspiration for my card.

Our challenge this week over at Celebrate The Occasion is "Anything Goes"!!! Therefore it was up to my imagination to come up with something this week. I decided to wave goodbye to April and say hello to May by using rain boots holding a bouquet of flowers.

For my boots and sentiment I used a stamp set by The Stamps of Life called boots4rain and the flower bouquet is a print and cut from Silhouette Studio.

Supplies used: card stock - white; patterned papers - Lazy Summer Stripe by Three Bugs in A Rug, Thrilled in Happy Go Lucky by Pebbles and Madam in Letterbox by American Crafts; Silhouette Studio cut file; stamps - boots4rain by The Stamps of Life; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; twine and button - my stash; Pop Dots.

I hope you'll come and link up with us over at CTO  for our "Anything Goes" challenge and stop by to see the great inspiration the design team has!!!!
