Die Cuttin' Divas Anything Goes Challenge

Tuesday is here again, and time for a new challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas!

This week the challenge is Anything Goes.

Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Love Bug Creations!

For my projects, I'd like to share some of my creations for my granddaughters 4th birthday party.
She decided she wanted to have a Mermaid party, which was perfect for summer and the pool.

The first project I'd like to share is some sand buckets which we used to hold Goldfish Crackers and Pop Corn. I cut the birthday fishes out with my Cameo using Silhouette Studio cut files. I cut all the pieces out of vinyl.

I also used vinyl to cut out mermaid silhouettes for these drink bottles which I bought at Dollar Tree. They were 2 for $1!!!!

I made a large version of her pop-up mermaid invitation as a centerpiece for the table.
Cut the shell from poster board and then glued all the enlarged card stock pieces to the poster board shell.

For the cupcake toppers I cut mermaid tails from glitter card stock!

I put some "Crabs" eyes on some of the crescent roll sandwiches. Just punched some red circles and added giant google eyes.

To create the banner I used some blue stripped banner pieces I bought at Target. The letters were cut with my Silhouette using a font called Underwater Love.

A mermaid silhouette on either side of her name.

I tied some twine around the napkins with a Lifesaver hanging from it.

And last I made Mermaid Wands. Glued starfish to a wooden dowel with some pretty ribbon tied to it. A rhinestone gem glued to the starfish for some sparkle.

And made some tridents for the boys.

Put them all in a little metal bucket I purchased at Target for $1, that I had filled with sand.

My granddaughter loved it all!!!

Now pop on over to Die Cuttin' Divas and see all the fabulous inspiration the rest of the design team has come up with.

Hope to see you playing along with us!!!!

The timing of this challenge worked out just perfect for me!! My granddaughters 4th birthday is coming up in two weeks and she is having a mermaid party at the pool at our clubhouse.

I am sharing her invitation, which I created with a Snapdragon Snippets Silhouette Studio file and her treat box which is also from Silhouette Studio.

Here is the front of the invitation:

And here is the inside of the invitation, which has a pop-up feature:

For her treat boxes I went with a little crab that reminded me of Sebastian in the Little Mermaid movie.

Supplies used: card stock - black, white, green, blues, orange red, green glitter, peach; vellum; patterned paper by My Minds Eye; rhinestone - Kaiser Craft; Silhoutte Studio cut files..

Summer Lovin Blog Hop

Welcome to the SnapDragon Snippets - SVG Attic Summer Lovin' co-blog hop!

We are super excited to have you join us today!  If you happened across this post out of order, please head to the SVG Atttic blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

We hope you are inspired by the creativity of the design teams of  SnapDragon Snippets and SVG Attic.

Here is the project I created for the hop using two different files by Snapdragon Snippets.

To create the invitation I used June Dozen Squares Quilt Block file #42087.  I changed the sizes so that it would fit on a 5X7 card base. I omitted the cuts that had the holes and replaced them with solid pieces.

I recycled a Starbucks bottle for my drink bottle. I wrapped some coordinating paper around the bottle and I used the watermelon from the same cut file as the invitation, to create the slider for the straw. I simply enlarged it a bit and after I pieced it together I cut a couple of slots for the straw to pass through.

The darling treat box is created from 3D Watermelon Slice Box file #45154.  It makes a great little box to put some candies or something in and was really quite easy to put together.

I think this makes a fun little set for your next summer BBQ or picnic!!!!

Now how about some blog hop prizes??

Ladybug Birthday

My little granddaughter just turned two on Friday the 27th! On Sunday my daughter and I had a ladybug themed birthday party for her. I wanted to share the card I made for her and some of the decor items I created. It really turned out to be a cute party and she had so much fun!!!!

For the card I used a darling digital image from A Day For Daisies called Saying Hello. If you haven't checked out all the darling images they have over at A Day For Daisies I highly recommend you stop by and look, you won't be disappointed. Furthermore they are one of the sponsors of Link Up For Pink!!

I made a banner for her party using both my Cameo and my Cricut. For the letters I used the Cuttin Up cartridge and the ladybug was cut with the Walk In My Garden cartridge. I used Silhouette Studio for the scalloped circles.

For her favors we found these cute buckets at Target for $1 each! I cut out circles in black vinyl with my Cameo and attached them to the buckets.

One of the goodies in the bucket were these sunglasses, again found at Traget for $1 each. I had these cute ladybug brads that I simply snipped the tongs off of and then glued them to the sunglasses with some E6000 glue.

I created various labels using some round 3/4" labels by Avery and stuck them to the bottom of Hershey Kisses.

For the bag toppers I found a free printable on line that had all kinds of cute ladybug themed goodies!

I used the same set of printables to make these straps for the cups, which we purchased at the Dollar Store..

I made these picks, to be used among fruit skewers, with cuts from my Cameo and my Cricut.

Last, but not least, I made these appetizers with a "Taste Of Home" recipe I found.

And.... Here is my little bug!!!!

Thanks for taking a peek!!!!

The theme of the hop is to create a project that represents things you would bring to a party. Here is my project:

I started with a galvanized bucket I had in my garage. It has chicken wire around it, which I wove ribbon through to decorate it and filled it with shredded paper.

I downloaded the Shindig Handmade Gifts Printable Project from ScrapNfonts. I printed the coaster pages on white cardstock, cut them out and laminated them. then glued them on some coasters I bought at the dollar store.

I printed out the cocktail recipe pages, cut them out, laminated them, hole punched them and put them on a ring which I decorated with some ribbon.

I recycled some empty American Crafts containers I had. I printed the snack strips out, glued them to some strips of patterned paper, attached them to my American Crafts conatiners and filled them up with pretzels, peanuts and pistachios.

Printed and made a tag with my Making memories Tag Maker for the wine bottle opener.

Printed the confetti labels, ran them through my Big Shot with a spellbinders die, and glued them to pattern paper which I had also cut out with spellbinders. Attached them to some confetti I purchased at the dollar store.

I printed out the cocktail napkin strip, attached it to a strip of pattern paper and then encircled a box of cocktail napkins with it.

While I was at the Dollar Store I also picked up some cocktail umbrellas and a couple wine glasses that I thought went perfect in my basket.

For a very small amount of cash I have a fun and festive container of goodies to take to a party!!

Now for some blog candy, a mini album and some stamps:
All you have to do to be entered in the drawing is to be a follower and leave a comment on this post. I will pick a winner on Monday. Good Luck!

Now you are off to see Lucianna at Dilsaver Designs!
