Exciting News from Whimsical Designs!

I'd like to share a little card I made in honor of some exciting news from Whimsical Designs!!!

Stephanie has paired with Pumpkin Spice, to bring you this fantastic kit which is just perfect for making all your Valentine Cards and creations!!!

This kit has a retail value of $44 and you can purchase it for just $27 right here!

It is so fun with 6X6 paper pads from Echo Park and Authentique, a brad set and chipboard set from Echo Park, Stephanie's With Love stamp set (which has all the sentiments you need to create your Valentines cards) 6 sheets of 8 1/2 X 11 classic white Bazzill card stock and 2 sheets of pheonix dotted swiss Bazzil card stock.

Everything you need in one darling set!!!

To celebrate this deal I made a little card with one of Stephanie's sentiments from her With Love stamp set. I used Love Struck and the little heart along with a Silhouette cut file and some American Crafts paper.

Supplies used: card stock - red, black; patterned papers from XOXO ^x^ paper pad by American Crafts; stamps from With Love by Whimsical designs; ink - Tuxedo Black by Memento; heart punches - Martha Stewart, Fiskars, $ bin at Safeway; border punch - EK Success; Silhouette Studio cut file.

DT for Link Up For Pink

For those of you that have been following me for awhile, you know that I am a breast cancer survivor. In fact I am celebrating 10 years cancer free this year!!!!

For obvious reasons breast cancer awareness is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. When I saw that Link Up For Pink was having a design team call I applied right away. I am thrilled to announce that I made the team!!!!!! Yay!!!! It really means a lot to me to be part of this design team.

We will be having two challenges a month leading up to our linking party in October. We have a wonderful group of sponsors and a fabulous design team.  My first project for the design team will be for next weeks challenge on Thursday. I hope you'll come by and play along with our challenges and help spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness!!!!

I thought I would share these darling cookies my little grandson Jeff and his Mom made. Jeff had a lot of fun helping his Mom assemble them and put the faces on!

I'm Passing My Purple Torch

Well I have been running hard and carrying my purple torch high for the last month, but alas (sniff, sniff) I must pass my torch to a new runner.

I am very excited to let you know that I am handing off my purple torch to Jessica of Chick-N-Scrap! She is super creative and I have enjoyed perusing her blog for some time now. Although I am sad to see my leg of the race come to an end, I couldn't be happier to put the purple torch in Jessica's hands!!!
I can't wait to see what Jessica will do with all the fun digital elements over at Amber Ink

Amber Ink Recap

I'm so excited to tell you the news, For the month of October I will be the purple torchbearer for AmberInk!!!

I have been an admirer of Lucianna at Dilsaver Designs for some time now. She is a super talented lady who makes the most creative cards, so I was really honored when she passed the AmberInk torch to me! She's a hard act to follow, but I will give it my best.

I am super excited to share with you that I have been chosen as a Twisted Sister for Twisted Sketches!!

This is a really fun challenge blog! Every week they provide you with a sketch and a "twist" which you must include.The twist is to help inspire your creativity. The twist, for example, may be water and you can use it any how, any way, in your title, in your journaling, with your paper or your embellishments, etc. On Wednesdays there is a layout sketch (this is the team I will be designing for) and on Saturdays there is a card sketch.
