I Brake for Belly Dancers!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing the card that I made for my friend's birthday yesterday.

I used Belly Dancer Gracie from the Humorous Seniors Line.

The verse is from the very large set

Every Day Phrases.

I have used this set about a million times!

My friend has taken belly dancing classes for a few years now to help keep herself in shape.  We have added some classes to our 5th grade curriculum that are areas the kids were interested in that we don't normally teach in school.  My friend is teaching a belly dancing class to some of the girls...at a 5th grade appropriate level...lol...and I thought this card would be perfect for her.  All of the images and verses can be found at I Brake for Stamps.

I used Wink of Stella on her outfit to add some shimmer.

On the inside I used a verse from Half Sheet #052.

I forgot to photograph the back of the card but I used this hilarious stamp...WARNING!

I Brake for 50th Anniversaries!

 Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing an anniversary card that I made for my aunt and uncle.

Today is their 50th anniversary and their kids are throwing a big party for them.

I used MILTON AND MARGE ON SOFA with HALF SHEET #052.

Aren't these two the cutest thing ever??

I Brake For Valerie's Birthday!

Hello and happy Saturday!!

Welcome to my I Brake For Stamps post for the week.

It's been rainy here lately so I wanted to make something bright and cheery to offset the dull gray outside.

Today I'm sharing a gift bag that I made for a co-worker.  We go back to school VERY soon. (insert big heaving sobs here) and her birthday is Sept. 25.  It's very crazy at the beginning of school so I thought I'd get ahead of the game and make this now.

I used Half Sheet #052 from the Humorous Seniors line and Birthday Valerie.

I used my new We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag punch board to make this.  If you come back tomorrow you can see another bag that I made.  Tomorrow's is a little smaller than this one.  You can choose from 3 different widths of bags, small, medium and large as well as making it any height up to a 12" piece of paper.  This bag is about 8" tall.

Isn't this verse so funny and SO true?!

My little flower is from Wild Orchid.  It's a Champagne Pink Cosmo Daisy 10 pk.

I Brake for Beachcomber Bertha ..

Hello IBFS fans !!

It's Crystal here and I'm back with a birthday card using Beachcomber Bertha . I created a faux window  with a beach scene on the outside

the card base is a 5" x 5"

cut another layer at 4 7/8" x 4 7/8" ,die cut a big scallop oval window into this layer . sponge Tim Holtz pumice stone on the sand area , salty ocean for water and chalk some blue clouds in and with a black marker add sea birds

lay the beach layer on top of the card base lightly mark your window opening  , remove the beach layer and stamp Beachcomber Bertha onto card front inside the penciled area m, erase the pencil and copic color Bertha

pop dot the beach layer to the front of the card ,die cut flip-flops and add to the front beach layer , I added stickles to my flip-flop straps , make a Happy Birthday banner using the words from half sheet #052

inside I made a 4 7/8 by 4 7/8 layer in lt blue and then torn some tan card stock to create the sand and stamped my sentiment from half sheet #052 , I die cut a sea shell and starfish and inked the edges and wrinkle  it up to give and old look with more dimension , add sand specks with copic marker tip

I Brake for a Ray of Sunshine ...

Hello IBFS friends !!

It's Crystal here with another Shy Bear birthday card using one of the  Shy Bears from the Plate #6 set , this bear is in the sand under an umbrella , what a fun stamp image and I loved creating this card with it.

There is a lot of fun going on in this card

the sun ray is a cricut cut from Close To My Heart Artbooking cartridge , the waves are die cut from prismatic paper to make the come to life , my cloud paper is from Lawn Fawn and I added diamond stickles dots to the clouds .

I used Fran'tage shabby white embossing enamel to add texture to my sand , the lemonade picture and glass have glossy accents to make the pop , I also added some sequins from my stash. My umbrella has Wink of Stella glitter pen added to it .

inside my card I used a sentiment from the half sheet # 052

I hope you like my creation using the Shy Bear from plate 6 .
